Breanna, we’re thrilled to have you sharing your thoughts and lessons with our community. So, for folks who are at a stage in their life or career where they are trying to be more resilient, can you share where you get your resilience from?
I believe I get my ability to be resilience from watching my grandmother sacrifice her time to be the glue of the family, as she was my guardian while being born a military brat. My grandmother is a living testimony as she has been blessed to live through heart problems and surgeries since the age of 35 and still made a decision to assist with raising my two sisters and I. She has set the tone for having bad days however showing up to support her family weather it was track meets, band practices, recitals, cooking, or simple things like the up keep of an house.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?

Surprise ! Four qualities and skills that I believe that were most impactful on my journey is believing in myself, setting boundaries, seeking support for the things I didn’t understand, and lastly having a relationship with God. My advice that I have for other early in their journey is to live a life that is has purpose and to value your time by understanding where you spend the most time. To improve on these things, I advocate for self-reflection abd accountability partners.

What do you do when you feel overwhelmed? Any advice or strategies?
When I am feeling overwhelmed I call my support system, rest in the word of God, and simplifying my goals. My suggested strategy with feeling overwhelmed is being able to identify what is on your plate and prioritize accordingly.
