We were lucky to catch up with Bree M. recently and have shared our conversation below.
Bree, so good to have you with us today. We’ve always been impressed with folks who have a very clear sense of purpose and so maybe we can jump right in and talk about how you found your purpose?
I’ve always loved art as a child. From drawing to bedazzling clothes and making earrings. As I got older I didn’t do it as much but I found my purpose again in October 2020. I practiced working with copper wire for a few months and officially launched SolFlowerWire Handmade Jewelry and Bookmarks on March 15, 2021. As the years went on I’ve also incorporated other things that I enjoy which is crafting and painting. So far I have added Holiday themed wreaths and different types of abstract art on canvases.
Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?
I am currently focused on building an artistic career. During the week I create and on Saturday’s I attend different types of Vendor Markets. I make Handmade Earrings, Bookmarks, Rings, Bracelets, Wreaths and Paintings. I feel so much joy knowing that someone wants to buy my art that is always created with love.
Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
I would definitely say Creativity, Imagination and Attention to detail. Watching my ideas come to life is an amazing feeling. The best advice I can give is to find something that you truly enjoy and be sure that it makes you happy while doing it.
One of our goals is to help like-minded folks with similar goals connect and so before we go we want to ask if you are looking to partner or collab with others – and if so, what would make the ideal collaborator or partner?
I’m always looking to collaborate. I have attended multiple networking events where I have met so many people who are in the same industry as I am. I’ve learned so much so far. I hope that once I’m further along in my career that I’m able to provide as much knowledge that I’ve learned along the way to up and coming entrepreneurs.
