Meet Brehan Todd

We recently connected with Brehan Todd and have shared our conversation below.

BREHAN, we’re thrilled to have you sharing your thoughts and lessons with our community. So, for folks who are at a stage in their life or career where they are trying to be more resilient, can you share where you get your resilience from?

“I believe my resilience comes from both my upbringing and my own life experiences. I come from a strong family of creative, determined individuals who have always stood firm in their ability to overcome challenges. Watching both of my parents navigate and persevere through great obstacles has been incredibly inspiring—they’ve set an example of strength, persistence, and adaptability that I carry with me.

Beyond that, my own journey has been filled with challenges that have tested me on every level. Each difficulty I’ve faced has pushed me to grow stronger, to adapt, and to keep moving forward no matter what. Resilience, to me, isn’t just about enduring hardship—it’s about learning from it, evolving, and using those experiences to fuel creativity and determination.”

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?

“My career has always been rooted in creativity, and sustainability. I’m excited about expanding into new artistic realms. I’m moving toward more art direction projects, pushing the boundaries of my creativity, and embracing new challenges. Collaboration is a huge part of what inspires me, so I’m eager to work with diverse teams and explore fresh perspectives.

Recently, I had the incredible opportunity to style the Spring campaign for Sorel, heritage shoe brand, which is launching now. It was such a rewarding project, and I love seeing how my creative vision comes to life in commercial campaigns.

Over the past year, I’ve also been deeply immersed in AI-driven design. Experimenting with AI has completely changed the way I approach creativity—I’ve developed entire collections and campaigns using it, and I’m fascinated by the limitless possibilities it offers. Moving forward, I’m excited to bring my expertise into brand collaborations, helping companies craft innovative AI-driven marketing campaigns.

On a different note, I’ve also recently started studying for my real estate license—something I’ve always been passionate about. My goal is to help creative people find their dream homes, spaces that truly reflect their lifestyles and artistic visions.

It’s an exciting time for me, and I’m looking forward to where these new opportunities lead!”

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

“Looking back, I think three qualities have been the most impactful in my journey: curiosity, perseverance, and integrity.

First, my foundation in fashion design at FIT and my time in New York were instrumental in shaping my path. Growing up in a small town in Montana, fashion felt like a distant dream—I spent much of my childhood lost in magazines and my imagination. When I finally arrived in New York, to study fashion design, it was everything I had envisioned and more. Being immersed in that world, working behind the scenes during Fashion Week, and learning from established designers through internships gave me firsthand experience that no classroom alone could provide. For anyone starting out, I’d say: put yourself in environments where you can learn. Seek out mentors, internships, or any opportunity to be in the room where things are happening.

Second, I’ve learned that in creative industries, you grow the most by doing. Some of my most valuable lessons have come from passion projects—things I took on purely for the love of creating, without any financial reward. These experiences teach you as much about collaboration and the creative process as commercial work does. My advice? Play, experiment, and take risks. Even if a project doesn’t turn out how you imagined, you’ll always gain something from it.

Lastly, integrity is everything. We all have responsibilities and bills to pay, but never let that force you to compromise your values. There will always be another job, another opportunity—but once you sacrifice your integrity, it’s incredibly hard to regain. People will try to discourage you or bring you down at times, but staying true to yourself and your vision is what matters most. And beyond career success, I believe in contributing positivity whenever possible. Something as simple as a smile or an act of kindness can make a difference. At the end of the day, all we really have is our reputation and the way we make others feel “

How can folks who want to work with you connect?

I’m always looking for brands and creative partners to collaborate with on future projects. I’m especially drawn to working with companies and designers who prioritize sustainability and environmental innovation. The intersection of creativity and conscious design is something I’m really passionate about, and I’d love to contribute my skills to projects that align with those values.

I’m also excited to collaborate with brands that are curious about the possibilities of AI-driven design. Over the past year, I’ve been exploring how AI can enhance creativity, storytelling, and branding, and I’d love to work with companies looking to push the boundaries of innovation in this space. From logos and typography to full campaigns, I’m interested in helping people with their brand identity and creating a cohesive brand identity.

If you’re interested in collaborating, feel free to reach out! You can find me on my website, brehantodd.com, via Instagram @brehantoddstyling or via personal email at [email protected]. I would love to connect and explore ways we can create something meaningful together.”
