Meet Bre’onna Cole

We recently connected with Bre’onna Cole and have shared our conversation below.

Bre’onna , sincerely appreciate your selflessness in agreeing to discuss your mental health journey and how you overcame and persisted despite the challenges. Please share with our readers how you overcame. For readers, please note this is not medical advice, we are not doctors, you should always consult professionals for advice and that this is merely one person sharing their story and experience.

The first thing I did was take accountability!
I started looking inward for answers. I also enrolled in therapy, which became a crucial part of my journey. It’s way harder to overcome challenges without understanding why they’re happening or what they’re trying to teach you. So, I stay committed to doing the work and remain mindful of anything that could pull me back into the old version of myself. Growth is constant, and awareness is key.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?

Well firstly, I prefer to be called Bonna. I’m a mom of 1 and a Nashville native. My journey is rooted in purpose and alignment. I’m the founder of Purpose Lit, a brand designed to empower creatives through holistic wellness practices, curated events, and meaningful community connections. What excites me most about this work is watching people rediscover their light and align with their true selves. It’s all about creating safe spaces for healing, growth, and creativity.

Right now, I’m focused on expanding Purpose Lit in exciting ways. I’m preparing to launch the Brilliantly Lit Wellness Box, a curated collection of tools like journals, affirmation cards, candles, and more! It is designed to nurture mindfulness and creative inspiration.

Additionally, I’m introducing more merch that reflects our mission and vision while cultivating a guided meditation series to help people connect deeply with themselves and their purpose. Every initiative ties back to our mission of fostering healing, empowerment, and purpose.

Purpose Lit is about seeing the light within ourselves and using it to rise above life’s challenges. I hope everything we do inspires others to discover their purpose, ignite their passion, and protect their mental health!

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?

Focus, isolation, and meditation were the most impactful in my journey. After having my son, I locked in and started thinking about ways to evolve. Through the process of becoming a mom, I matured in ways that allowed me to shift my vision and truly become a greater version of myself.

My advice for those early in their journey is to channel inward and block out the noise. Whether it’s external distractions or low vibrational thoughts from within! Take the time to align with your purpose, and don’t skip the work. Every part of the process is necessary for your growth and transformation. Embrace it, and trust that it’s all shaping you for your higher self.

One of our goals is to help like-minded folks with similar goals connect and so before we go we want to ask if you are looking to partner or collab with others – and if so, what would make the ideal collaborator or partner?

I am always looking to partner and collaborate with brands, individuals, and businesses who specialize in holistic wellness, mental health, and creative initiatives. Collaboration is at the heart of Purpose Lit, and I’d love to host more events with the support of sponsorships, whether through products, services, or monetary contributions.

If you’re reading this and feel aligned with our mission, I’d love to connect and explore how we can create impactful experiences together. You can reach me at [email protected] or 629-729-8145
