Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Bret Shuford. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Hi Bret, so happy you were able to devote some time to sharing your thoughts and wisdom with our community. So, we’ve always admired how you have seemingly never let nay-sayers or haters keep you down. Can you talk to us about how to persist despite the negative energy that so often is thrown at folks trying to do something special with their lives?
It’s so important to remember that the more visible you become, the more haters you will have. Remembering that people’s hate is not a reflection of you but more in line with who they are. So for me, I start with the idea that I hope this person gets the joy they need. We all deserve love regardless of where we are on our journey. Yet, the biggest lesson I learned is that my goal is not to be liked, but to become known, and allow other to decide. I want to help people, but not everyone, I want to help the right people. I have accepted I’m not everyone’s cup of tea, and neither are you.
Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
Learning to put my self-care first was the earliest lesson I gained in my career success. I manifested a 25 year career as an actor on Broadway in New York City, but that didn’t happen for me until I became sober. Sobriety set the path for me to understand service, and that I can be useful member of society. You may not be an addict but looking at your shortcomings and actively developing a growth mindset will set you on the path to success. This I know to be true.
How can folks who want to work with you connect?
I’m on a mission to help progressive minded entrepreneurs, brands, and content creators grow their impact and income. It’s time to help bring more joy and authenticity to the online space.
