Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Brett White. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Hi Brett, you’ve got such an interesting story, but before we jump into that, let’s first talk about a topic near and dear to us – generosity. We think success, happiness and wellbeing depends on authentic generosity and empathy and so we’d love to hear about how you become such a generous person – where do you think your generosity comes from?
Lead with love!
Clothing & Fine Art industries are highly saturated and a dime a dozen. Leading with love & not being afraid to lose a dollar to get the brand image & brand word out there has been the #1 benefactor in growing my brand and building my company.
Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?
One year ago I started taking my screen prints from past artwork, and printing them on clothing, combining old ideas with new.
Most of my prints are misprints, edits, revisions, the best and worst elements of past writing & fine art prints. I have sent and sold over 400 different items & pieces of clothing all over the country & beyond, and intend on expanding into an international hub for artists and creators. Collaboration is key in the cyber world, combining audiences, friends, family and people of similar interests.
There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
Failure is the most important part of any artist or entrepreneur’s journey. Taking losses and learning from your mistakes is what separates you from those who give up when times get tough. Fear is another huge element of success, being able to leave doubt in the past and chase greatness is something only understood by someone who has walked through the fire with shoulder and head held high.
Delusional confidence is my third quality,
being able to trust your gut and trust your emotions is key in overcoming failure & self doubt. Delusion is important, to an extent. Knowing your limits but pushing them anyway is a skill only few possess.
How would you describe your ideal client?
My ideal client is someone open to anything, confident in their swagger and confident in their ideas.
