Meet Bria Jaime

We were lucky to catch up with Bria Jaime recently and have shared our conversation below.

Bria, thank you so much for joining us. You are such a positive person and it’s something we really admire and so we wanted to start by asking you where you think your optimism comes from?

I get my optimism from the now. The present moment. I focus on being present and staying in that frequency which allows me to vision and have hope for the future. Mental and energetic practices to help stay aligned and in that vibration. Conscious meditation, intention setting and sacred ceremony, allowing for release, surrounding myself with the right people and being mindful of what I consume.

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?

I do quite a few creative things. First and foremost I am a mother to an almost two year old son and two month old daughter. I am currently doing content creating and taking it slow as I ease back into my freelance career in Entertainment and Hairstyling. I am using this time at home with the babies now to learn and grow more, gain inspiration, write write write and plan goals for those paths. I am heavily influenced by my babies right now so I have a lot of fun ideas as far as new music to write (something about babies type of album hint hint), future classes to teach, have a ton of mom content to blog and podcast about, and new brands & hair treatment services I’ve been trying in the beauty world I can’t wait to use on clients when I’m back in the salon.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?

Always be growing and learning. Whether it’s with a mentor or taking physical classes or apprenticing. It doesn’t have to cost a fortune though. I always have taken a lot of education and self taught myself with every free resource you can find. Library visits, online searching, albums, YouTube videos, articles, anything and everything you can find on topics. Every free webinar, call, or live stream. Constantly fill yourself with inspiration of your interests. Make Pinterest boards, actual dream boards. Become fully what you aim to be. Slow down and be fully present with what you are doing. Really feel into it. Embody it. It makes it more exciting and adds a bit of magic to it.

Before we go, any advice you can share with people who are feeling overwhelmed?

When I feel overwhelmed I like to take some alone time to take a shower, pamper myself, make a cup of tea, or create with herbals and earth things to feel grounded. Deep breathing, meditating, writing and energy work with my Quantum Resonance Wand. Self care is number one and if you’re not “on” it can really affect the people in your field. Solitude is key and taking intentional time to ground and reset should do the trick.
