We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Brian Pannuzzo a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Brian, so good to have you with us today. We’ve always been impressed with folks who have a very clear sense of purpose and so maybe we can jump right in and talk about how you found your purpose?
My purpose has come from my own painful situation.
I found myself living the typical life of a successful professional. I created financial success via my career. On the outside, it looked as if my life was great. But on the inside, it was broken.
I was 30 pounds overweight, I drank too much, I didn’t spend enough time with my kids and my marriage went from being highly connected to roommates who were parenting 2 kids.
It was painful to realize that I was the cause of all my problems. But that meant that I was also the solution.
Now I am able to help people who are living the life I used to. I am a living example that you can create an elite life outside of the office… physically, mentally and in your relationships. And it only results in more success at work.
If I can do it, so can you.
Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?
My name is Brian Pannuzzo. I’m an executive coach who specializes in working with driven, corporate professionals whose career success has cost them aspects of their mental, physical, and relational health.
If you’re like the executives I’ve worked with, you’ve probably dealt with:
-Feeling burned out while juggling work and personal life
-Letting your health slide as you focus on your career
-Struggling to maintain deep connections with family and friends
Sound familiar? I used to be in your seat.
I spent 20 years on Wall Street as a bond trader. In 2015, I “woke up” to a broken body, marriage and mindset. Everything in my life appeared perfect on the surface. But underneath it was all falling apart.
Through years of tireless education and work, I’ve developed a system that allows career professionals to have it all…the body, marriage, family and mindset that fuels them to make even more money at work than ever before.
Why do it all alone when you can get the help you need?

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
My personal experience living the life of a busy executive. You can’t teach 20 years of sitting in the seat that the person you work with does.
There is no degree or certification you can obtain. I’ve lived your life day in and day out.
We seek out experts to help us for work that we want done right…
I don’t YouTube how to re-set my kid’s broken arm and I don’t try to fix my own car. Most people wing it and go on their own when it comes to getting into elite mental & physical shape.
Accountability is an insurance policy on your success. You’ll let yourself down before you let others down. Get accountable to a coach & a process.
Successful professionals know their career success has taken TIME. They accept that. But they are impatient when it comes to change in their personal life. That also takes time!
What’s been one of your main areas of growth this year?
My limits begin where my vision ends.
There is a future version of myself that would shock the hell out of the current version of me.
Human beings are great at thinking “good enough.” Gratitude is very important, but wanting more is OK.
Desire is the unlock for most people. That takes time to get comfortable accepting.
I’ve experienced this over the last year. The growth I’m making because it is incredible.
