Meet Brian Viers

We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Brian Viers a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Brian , so good to have you with us today. We’ve always been impressed with folks who have a very clear sense of purpose and so maybe we can jump right in and talk about how you found your purpose?

My drive in life came decades ago. I always wanted to have nice things but after having helped others succeed, it gave me a much great appreciation and perspective on what true success meant to me. I began volunteering my time and resources to charities and ministries best aligned with my values. When we have such view or purpose for the how and why we do what we do it’s much more gratifying. My wife and I now have our own family foundation: Uplift360, based in St. Petersburg, FL focused on giving back and making a difference.

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?

I’m a serial entrepreneur and love the challenge of start up’s or taking on new challenges. I started Viers Coffee & Water in 1991– my longest running company. Set on a solid foundation, I still play a part with oversight but majority of my time is spent writing books, business course materials and now even painting works of art (my newest venture) I have a belief in myself that I am capable of anything so once an opportunity is presented I’m all in. I think everything I’m involved with can be linked together through my faith in God, rooted in principles and leading by example. I love sharing stories of my journey and how relatable it may be to others, hoping to inspire and give hope to those people looking for some greater calling in life.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?

Three of the greatest principles I always share with others is to maintain integrity, love what you do and believe in yourself and the process. Nothing comes easy so perseverance is crucial but knowing when to walk away is key. Sometimes your plans don’t work out but lessons are learned.

How would you describe your ideal client?

I help people identify goals and reach them. My ideal partnership or client is driven by impact. My new book- Significant U has gone to print this month with a course intro. I’m looking forward to connecting with readers and helping advance their objectives. Anyone can chase or set monetary goals but that race has no finish line. Learn the value of owning your life. Live a life of Significance.
