Meet Briana Boddie

We were lucky to catch up with Briana Boddie recently and have shared our conversation below.

Briana, we’re so excited for our community to get to know you and learn from your journey and the wisdom you’ve acquired over time. Let’s kick things off with a discussion on self-confidence and self-esteem. How did you develop yours?
I’d say it stems from within. I had to go through a trial in order to learn and come out on top for myself. One of the main things that I learned is that no one will hand you anything – you have to go and get it for yourself. Once you learn this specific trait, fear leaves you for a bit and your confidence shows. You are the main person in charge of your life and your journey. No one writes your story but you.

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?
I’m very fortunate to run my own marketing business, Heiress Designs & Logos, LLC. Initially, my business was a passion project, and then it became so much more. I love to bring a sense to belonging to people who are building their brand, starting a new business from scratch or would like to know about marketing in general. I have expanded my business into a consulting/design business to help my clients excel in their needs.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
I believe the top three qualities for me were: Observation, Kindness, and Genuine. These were most impactful for my journey because I received a sense of direction. There is so much power in staying quiet and observing; being kind and having courage; and lastly being a genuine and honest person. If you are early in career, please know that everything will not come easy to you but that is ok. The beauty is going through different trials and learning from them, be your best self and continue to push positivity.

Is there a particular challenge you are currently facing?

Oh, for sure! Changing of careers. I have learned so much from this particular experience. Not only have I learned about myself but other people. You may think your life is suppose to go one way, and it’s completely opposite. The truth is that it is ok – everything will work out when you are a positive person and have faith in your future. Always remember that you control your future, no one else.
