Meet Briana Edmonds

We were lucky to catch up with Briana Edmonds recently and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Briana, thanks for sharing your insights with our community today. Part of your success, no doubt, is due to your work ethic and so we’d love if you could open up about where you got your work ethic from?

My work ethic was shaped by years of hands-on experience in the fast-paced world of media. I’ve always believed in showing up prepared, staying curious, and doing the work others might overlook. Whether I’m chasing a story or managing a client’s public image, I bring the same level of dedication, integrity, and attention to detail. That mindset didn’t just develop overnight—it was built through resilience, learning from mentors, and a deep passion for both storytelling and strategic communication.

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?

I’m Briana Edmonds—celebrity journalist, public relations specialist, and founder of Edmonds Media Empire. Storytelling isn’t just what I do—it’s who I am. I’ve built my career on uncovering the real narratives behind the biggest names in entertainment, bringing depth, authenticity, and a fresh lens to celebrity journalism.

Whether I’m conducting in-depth interviews, covering red carpet moments, or looking beyond the headlines, my mission is to tell stories that matter. Through Edmonds Media Empire, I’ve created a platform that delivers exclusive content while amplifying voices that often go unheard.

I believe in reshaping the media landscape with purpose-driven storytelling, bold perspectives, and content that resonates. When I’m not chasing the next headline, I’m curating narratives that connect with global audiences and redefine how celebrity news is experienced in the digital age.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

Three qualities that have been most impactful in my journey are curiosity, consistency, and communication.
1. Curiosity – As a journalist, curiosity is everything. It’s what drives you to ask better questions, dig deeper, and see stories others might miss. For anyone starting out, stay genuinely curious. Read widely, listen more than you speak, and always ask why. The more curious you are, the more you’ll uncover.
2. Consistency – Talent will open doors, but consistency keeps them open. Showing up, delivering high-quality work, and maintaining your standards—even when no one’s watching—is what builds credibility over time. My advice? Don’t chase perfection—chase progress. The more consistent you are, the more you’ll grow.
3. Communication – Whether you’re writing, speaking, or building relationships, clear and authentic communication is a must. In PR and journalism, how you say something can be just as important as what you say. To improve, practice active listening and never stop honing your voice—your ability to communicate with clarity and intention will set you apart.

For those just beginning their journey: invest in these three areas daily. They’re not just professional skills—they’re long-term assets.

To close, maybe we can chat about your parents and what they did that was particularly impactful for you?

The most impactful thing my parents did for me was instill a deep sense of belief in myself before the world ever had a chance to define me. They taught me that my voice mattered—that what I had to say was worth hearing. That kind of confidence becomes a foundation. It gave me the courage to walk into rooms, interviews, and boardrooms with purpose.

Though my biological father wasn’t present much in my upbringing, my mother never missed a step. As a single mother, she worked tirelessly to provide, to raise me, to show up and show out—never missing a moment, whether it was academics, awards ceremonies, or the everyday moments in between. There were times when his lack of interest in being a parent and role model discouraged me. But through my healing journey—and as an alchemist of my own experience—I came to understand that true parenthood is about presence, not just biology.

My mother, Angela, molded me into greatness. Alongside her, my grandparents, extended family, and eventually my stepfather, Daryl Brown, poured into me. Daryl became the closest person I’ve known to a father figure, and truthfully, blood couldn’t make us any closer. Their love, support, and unwavering belief in me have shaped the woman I am today.
