Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Briana Lee. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Briana , thank you so much for taking the time to share your lessons learned with us and we’re sure your wisdom will help many. So, one question that comes up often and that we’re hoping you can shed some light on is keeping creativity alive over long stretches – how do you keep your creativity alive?

I feel that creativity is the main thing that keeps me going and inspires me. Finding new ways to artistically express myself is something I greatly enjoy. It allows me to not be put in a box but to always keep people and even myself surprised about what I can do. I get inspired in many different ways and love creating using different techniques.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?

My brand LoveCashionista is a unique brand based in Boston, MA that specializes in fashion design, creative direction, photography and different forms of art.

I feel my brand is different because it incorporates all of these elements in a way that most traditional companies don’t. It’s also just me mainly creating everything which makes my pieces personalized and one of a kind.

Right now, I have a lot of amazing projects that I’m currently working on. A book titled Love Cash Fashion showcasing my almost twenty year journey in the industry. I also have a new shoe, the Black Boa, which is inspired by the Year of the Snake. I’m also branching into phygital fashion where you can virtually try on items with a filter.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

I feel perseverance, faith and love are the best qualities to have on this journey. To love what you do regardless of any obstacles you may face determines how much you really want it.

Don’t just do it because of the money or recognition but do it because it’s your passion. Do it because it’s in your heart and you know it can help change not only your life but the lives of others.

Have faith in yourself and your work. Know that if you keep going your dreams will always come true. Stay humble, grounded and appreciative of all parts of life.

Any advice for folks feeling overwhelmed?

Take a break! I feel that we tend to neglect ourselves when we’re working hard and chasing our goals. So you have to make time to relax and find things that bring you peace. For me, I’ve been really into feng shui recently and I feel it works. Something as simple as orchids or a really nice candle goes a long way. Find whatever keeps you calm, grounded, happy and at peace.
