Meet Briana Martin

We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Briana Martin a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Briana, really happy you were able to join us today and we’re looking forward to sharing your story and insights with our readers. Let’s start with the heart of it all – purpose. How did you find your purpose?
Honestly, I still feel like I’m finding out what my purpose is more and more everyday. I’ve always been a giver and wanted to help people in any situation. I know my life’s purpose is advocating and helping those around me . I want to be that person who helps you get through tough times because I wish I had the same done for me. I don’t know what my purpose will look like in its entirety, but I know that being someones listening ear, and hearing their struggles , I want to be their for that person and help them find their own solutions.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?
I am a business promoter. I promote all businesses to give them a platform to increase engagement and sales. I also offer virtual assistance services. I have found a love for drawing and painting and hope that I can start selling my paintings soon. I also enjoy crafting and I make beaded and charm bracelets in which I also sell. Lastly, I recently started a Venting Textline Service for anyone who needs to vent and needs moral support. All of my businesses and projects have 2 things in common and that is helping people feel amazing, and the art of expression yourself in a creative and positive way . The most exciting thing about my Textline is me being able to provide a safe space for someone to feel comfortable with sharing what’s on their heart with me. It’s the most rewarding feeling.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
I think having good people skills, being able to read the room, and having proper business etiquette are 3 great qualities to have when running any business. If you don’t know how to talk to your client/customer you may not even get to the point of reaching a same. You have to know how to speak in a respectful manner. Reading the room is also knowing that all money isn’t good money if your customer can’t show you the same respect you show them. Having people skills to me is being nice, well put together, and not just trying to sell someone something but to create an experience or a genuine connection that will make someone want to invest into you.

Okay, so before we go we always love to ask if you are looking for folks to partner or collaborate with?
Yes I’m looking for anyone who is a mental health advocate or anyone who is in the field of Mental/Spiritual Health because you can never have enough people supporting and advocating for mental health. I can be contacted Via email [email protected] or through Instagram @weikeup_dailypromo where my website will be linked in my bio.
