We recently connected with Briana Outlaw and have shared our conversation below.

Briana, we’re thrilled to have you on our platform and we think there is so much folks can learn from you and your story. Something that matters deeply to us is living a life and leading a career filled with purpose and so let’s start by chatting about how you found your purpose.

To be honest, I feel as though my purpose found me at a time in my life when I needed it most. After many years of seeking meaning, I found myself alone in a new city with seemingly unlimited possibilities. After meeting someone there that had a social media platform, I realized that my journey and my voice could inspire others. I proceeded to step outside my comfort zone and be openly vulnerable in my first video and I received messages about how people felt inspired by my story. The feeling of inspiring others was so heartwarming that I realized that this was the right path for me and my future.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?

I’m originally from NYC and needed a change in my life. I moved across the country and found my passion in inspiring others through my content. Currently, my main goal is to grow my channels and show people that change, while being scary, can also bring growth and self-love. I am going to be posting a lot of travel content and tips as I am currently overseas in Bangkok. I am also very excited that I will soon be launching my own carefully curated cosmetic line. This is very personal to me because I found comfort with myself through makeup. I want to use my brand to help people to feel more comfortable with themselves.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?

Three of the most important qualities for my journey would be:
A willingness to embrace change as it comes. Next, A deep sense of empathy for others and their own journeys. And lastly, an ever growing knowledge base in content creation and digital devices in general. For people beginning their journey into content creation, or really any avenue they might want to pursue, seek knowledge from others in the field you’re interested in. Not knowing is part of life and we only gain skills and knowledge when we seek it out. Whether that be through individual studies, trial and error, or finding someone to teach you the skills you need.

One of our goals is to help like-minded folks with similar goals connect and so before we go we want to ask if you are looking to partner or collab with others – and if so, what would make the ideal collaborator or partner?

I am always open to collaboration. I would absolutely love to communicate and work with travel, cosmetic, and inspirational influencers. With that being said, I am open to any type of influencers that resonate with me. I have no intentions of limiting myself, since we are all limitless in what we can give of ourselves to help others. If anyone would be interested in collaboration, my inbox is always open. As far as my cosmetic line, keep an eye on my social media for information on when it will launch.
