Meet Briana Pena

We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Briana Pena. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Briana below.

Briana, we’re thrilled to have you sharing your thoughts and lessons with our community. So, for folks who are at a stage in their life or career where they are trying to be more resilient, can you share where you get your resilience from?
My resilience is a cherished gift from my role models – my indomitable mother and my tenacious older brother. Their unwavering determination, relentless work ethic, and refusal to give up, even in the face of challenges, have been my guiding lights. Their example fuels my resilience, reminding me that strength lies not only in overcoming obstacles but in the continuous effort to move forward.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?
Certainly! I’m a 27-year-old mom and wife based in Idaho, originally from California. I discovered my passion for cooking and, despite initial fears, embraced my dream of becoming an influencer in the summer of 2021. Since then, I’ve collaborated with 17+ brands, securing my first gifted collaboration by reaching out via DM. I’ve also been featured in three published articles.

Currently, I’m focused on building my personal brand and exploring avenues for passive income. I create user-generated content for brands, allowing them to enhance their social media presence. Additionally, I promote products as an influencer and exchange services. The most exciting part is working with my favorite brands and growing my community.

I have an upcoming venture: investing in a vending machine. This adds another dimension to my professional journey, and I’m thrilled about the opportunities it might bring.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
Reflecting on my journey, three key qualities that made a significant impact were consistency, passion, and community engagement.

1. Consistency: Posting regularly, such as 3 times a day every week, played a crucial role in my social media growth. Consistency builds a reliable presence and keeps your audience engaged. My advice is to establish a posting schedule that works for you and stick to it.

2. Passion: Loving what you do is essential. If it feels like a chore, it might not be the right path for you. Identify your passion and build your content around it. Authenticity resonates with audiences, and genuine enthusiasm shines through.

3. Community Engagement: Joining group chats, Facebook groups, and starting a YouTube channel helped me connect with others who resonate with my content. Engaging with your community fosters a sense of belonging and can open doors to collaborations and opportunities.

For those early in their journey, my advice is to find what you love and build your content around it. Be consistent in your efforts, engage with like-minded individuals, and leverage social media platforms and groups. Hard work and determination, especially in establishing passive income careers, can lead to success.

Okay, so before we go, is there anyone you’d like to shoutout for the role they’ve played in helping you develop the essential skills or overcome challenges along the way?
While there are several successful content creators I admire and have followed, the most influential person in helping me overcome challenges and make crucial decisions in my journey has been myself. I’ve taken charge of my choices, from collaborations to managing my path. The influencers who have inspired me, such as Lexi Johnson, Jade Amber, Monet McMichael, and Takiya Rogers, have played a significant role in influencing the decisions I make on this creative and entrepreneurial journey.
