We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Brianna Lee Anguiano. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Brianna Lee below.
Hi Brianna Lee, so happy you were able to devote some time to sharing your thoughts and wisdom with our community. So, we’ve always admired how you have seemingly never let nay-sayers or haters keep you down. Can you talk to us about how to persist despite the negative energy that so often is thrown at folks trying to do something special with their lives?
I love who loves me. I care about who cares about me. I only think about those things. If it isn’t raw and genuine it doesn’t exist in my world.

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?
I’ve tried my hand at every medium under the sun but photography has always been more than just a craft for me. From the moment I picked up my camera, my mission has been to empower not only those around me but also myself.
My photographic style is all about blending storytelling with style. I strive to create images that feel authentic and true to the subject’s identity while maintaining a visually striking aesthetic through elements like fashion, styling, location, casting, and hair and makeup.
I began photographing people who shared aspects of my identity and experiences because I noticed a lack of stories in the art world that truly resonated with me. Art has the power to connect us to the parts of ourselves that need love and to foster meaningful connections with others. Embracing and feeling empowered in our identities is a fundamental right, and I strongly believe that art is a transformative tool to help us achieve that
If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
Genuine intentions always. Giving people their flowers will never take away from your own. Mistakes and failures can be a blessing in disguise.
When you lead with your heart the possibilities are endless. When I focus on fostering genuine connection and community, the photos become an added bonus. Often, I photograph people in environments that hold personal significance for them, where they feel rooted and connected. These locations reflect their identity, and I approach them as a subject in their own right.

What’s been one of your main areas of growth this year?
The last year of my twenties has been the weirdest year of my life. I walked a tightrope inbetween girlhood and womanhood. This year I became a kinder, gentler me, more open to help and accepting of the things I can’t control. this year I’ve allowed myself to make more mistakes, to take chances, and to come out looking like a fool. to put ego aside and make space for those that need it, and accept and communicate wrongdoing. to listen fully, be present with those that give me their time, and value moments shared with others even if they fade away. this year I felt in control in a new way. I’ve been feeling more malleable and loving and open and willing to share control and be okay with things not being exactly how I pictured them. things feel much slower than they used to, but in a peaceful, graceful way. working with life rather than fighting it, and realizing that everything is in my favor if I want it to be and show up fully, ready, and present for all.
