We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Brianna Lynn a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Brianna , so excited to talk about all sorts of important topics with you today. The first one we want to jump into is about being the only one in the room – for some that’s being the only person of color or the only non-native English speaker or the only non-MBA, etc Can you talk to us about how you have managed to be successful even when you were the only one in the room that looked like you?
Being the only one in the room who looks like me has been both a challenge and a powerful motivator. In both of my businesses, STUDIO INTUITIVE and INTUITIVE SOCIAL, I’ve learned to turn what might feel like isolation into empowerment. I often remind myself that my unique perspective is my strength—it’s what sets me apart and allows me to offer something fresh and valuable to clients.
In the content creation world, especially through STUDIO INTUITIVE, I’ve found that owning my narrative is critical. When you’re the only one in the room who looks like you, it’s easy to feel like you don’t belong, but I’ve flipped that script. Instead of trying to blend in, I leverage my individuality to create standout, luxury experiences for my clients. I position myself as an expert who understands diversity in storytelling, culture, and representation, which brings authenticity to my work.
Through INTUITIVE SOCIAL, where I handle social media strategy and management, I use this same approach. Social media is a space where voices that challenge the norm thrive, and I’ve learned that being the only one in the room allows me to bring fresh ideas and challenge mainstream thinking. I’ve developed resilience, confidence, and a commitment to staying authentic, which allows me to connect more deeply with diverse audiences.
My approach is all about turning any feeling of ‘otherness’ into a competitive edge. Embracing my difference, leading with empathy, and showing up authentically have helped me build successful businesses and create a space where I can own the room—whether I’m the only one or surrounded by others who look like me.
Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?
I’m Brianna Lynn, and I’m the founder of two creative businesses: STUDIO INTUITIVE, where I specialize in photography and content creation, and INTUITIVE SOCIAL, my social media marketing and management agency.
STUDIO INTUITIVE is all about capturing authentic, luxurious moments—whether through photography or video content. I work with brands and individuals to create visual stories that truly connect with their audiences. What excites me the most about my work is the power of storytelling through images. I’ve always believed that a great photo or video can communicate so much without saying a word. It’s more than just aesthetics—it’s about creating an emotional connection between the viewer and the subject. What sets STUDIO INTUITIVE apart is the attention to high-quality, human-focused content that feels genuine, yet elevated.
Through INTUITIVE SOCIAL, I help businesses and entrepreneurs develop a strong presence online. In today’s world, social media is a crucial space for building brands, and I’m passionate about helping my clients tell their stories in the most impactful way. Whether it’s curating content, managing engagement, or developing strategies that bring their brand to life, I focus on creating authentic, relatable social media experiences that resonate with their target audience.
One thing that’s especially exciting right now is expanding both businesses. For STUDIO INTUITIVE, I’m working with more brands to create short-form video content, which has been huge in driving engagement, especially on platforms like TikTok and Instagram Reels. I’m also diving deeper into luxury brand photography and content creation, offering tailored packages for clients who want to take their visual identity to the next level.
For INTUITIVE SOCIAL, I’ve been growing my client base and expanding into new industries like skincare and fashion, helping businesses elevate their digital marketing strategies. We’re also working on launching more interactive, community-driven campaigns that allow brands to build deeper connections with their audience.
At the heart of both my businesses is the belief in authenticity and representation. I’m passionate about creating content that feels real and speaks to diverse audiences. As I continue to grow, I want to inspire others who might feel like the ‘only one in the room’ to embrace their uniqueness and create spaces where they, too, can thrive.
Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
Looking back, the three most important qualities that have been key to my journey with STUDIO INTUITIVE and INTUITIVE SOCIAL are resilience, adaptability, and creativity in problem-solving. These have not only helped me grow as a business owner but have also shaped the way I approach challenges and opportunities.
Resilience: Entrepreneurship, especially in the creative space, is filled with ups and downs. Whether it’s client feedback that wasn’t what I expected, or projects that didn’t go as planned, resilience has been essential. You can’t let setbacks define your path; instead, you have to use them as learning moments to push forward. My advice to those starting out is: embrace the challenges. Every hurdle is a chance to grow. Build a mindset where you view setbacks as a natural part of the process and stay committed to your vision, no matter how hard the journey gets.
Adaptability: The digital and creative industries are constantly evolving, whether it’s new social media platforms or changing algorithms. Being able to adapt quickly has been crucial for staying ahead in both STUDIO INTUITIVE and INTUITIVE SOCIAL. I’ve had to stay curious and learn new skills constantly, whether it’s about short-form video creation or mastering a new tool for content management. For those early in their journey, remain open to change and always be willing to learn. It’s easy to fall into the trap of sticking to what you know, but the ability to pivot and evolve will keep your business moving forward.
Creative Problem-Solving: In both businesses, I’ve found that creativity isn’t just about the visual content I create—it’s about finding innovative solutions to everyday business challenges. Whether it’s meeting tight deadlines or figuring out new ways to market a brand, creative problem-solving has been a game-changer. My advice? Don’t be afraid to think outside the box. Get comfortable with uncertainty and use it to spark creative ideas. Often, the most successful solutions come from approaching problems from a new angle or combining different strategies in unexpected ways.
For those early in their journey, I encourage them to focus on these qualities and skills by embracing challenges, staying curious, and always thinking creatively. Success isn’t about having all the answers upfront—it’s about building the resilience, adaptability, and problem-solving abilities to find them along the way.
