Meet Brianna “viibez” Roberts

We recently connected with Brianna “viibez” Roberts and have shared our conversation below.

Brianna “VIIbez”, so great to have you with us and we want to jump right into a really important question. In recent years, it’s become so clear that we’re living through a time where so many folks are lacking self-confidence and self-esteem. So, we’d love to hear about your journey and how you developed your self-confidence and self-esteem.

Honestly failure and time. I believe fear is the beginning of all new chapters. The question is are you brave enough to jump. Until you do you will never be happy not truly. The more I jumped the more my confidence grew. Even as I failed Im like hey that wasn’t that bad and I always ended up a little bit further every time.

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?

I opened up almost 8 years ago today and start out in a small room as a sound engineer. Over time I met some amazing people along the way and grew in popularity. No long after that I had to start hiring more engineers and even expand into more space because of the volume of people we had coming in. As of now, professionally, I look. to start expanding into the nonforprofit realm of my business and start giving back to at risk youth using music therapy

I own one of the biggest recording studios in Chicago but that’s just the surface part to it. We are actually a creative community that serves as a beacon and home for creatives, musicians, and artist across the midwest. Whether you are a local artist or more known, we provide an amazing environment to create while having friendly staff that accommodate every step of the way.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?

Three areas of skill that were the most impactful was one, mental toughness, resilience, and optimism. Everything happens for a reason whether bad or good live in an abundance mind set. Some contracts fail for a reason, some relationships don’t work, it is all apart of the journey and meant to put you exactly where you need to be.

What was the most impactful thing your parents did for you?

Most impactful thing my parents did for me was just simply just believing in me. No matter what or how bad a situation is they always trust I will find a way out and through. They are the reason I keep pushing today.
