Meet Brianne Rehak

We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Brianne Rehak a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Brianne , we’re thrilled to have you on our platform and we think there is so much folks can learn from you and your story. Something that matters deeply to us is living a life and leading a career filled with purpose and so let’s start by chatting about how you found your purpose.
I genuinely love making charcuterie boards. I find so much joy in each creation, this is truly a passion project at this point. Finding my purpose has been a very personal journey. When I started making boards this was just for fun, a hobby. I found that the demand was there which ultimately pushed the hobby into a real business. I have embraced every challenge and view it as an opportunity for growth, I continually strive to improve and expand the business. Ownership provides the ability to make decisions, be creative, and shape the direction of That Girl Brie, which gives me great purpose.

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?
That Girl Brie is a small charcuterie business in western Wisconsin. We create beautiful food spreads and grazing tables for all occasions. We have been building this business for almost two years. It has grown from an a few boards a week to multiple boards a day. We have recently opened a brick and mortar location which is so exciting, and scary! What I love most is the appreciation that so many have for what we do! I never thought that food boards would draw so much attention, and now we have our own space! It’s wild.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
A sincere passion for what we do is the foundation of our entire business. Every decision has been based on what was best for honest growth. What I mean by that is, admitting if something truly didn’t align with our values. It was not always easy to walk away. but integrity is also a critical piece of our foundation. And creativity, wow has that carried us. So many incredible ideas have come to be by just trying out every single creative idea we had! Like the recent addition of our small cheese cart, Carte-Brie! My advice to anyone starting out is to stay true to you, even if that means a missed opportunity.

Okay, so before we go we always love to ask if you are looking for folks to partner or collaborate with?
We are always looking for partners to collaborate with. We have so many ideas and food has an odd way of tying in to almost every situation. We would love to partner with other makers and creative thinkers. Also, other charcuterie businesses. We’d love to create an entire network of creatives!
