Meet Bridgette Bell

We were lucky to catch up with Bridgette Bell recently and have shared our conversation below.

Bridgette, we sincerely appreciate you joining us today and agreeing to talk about some very personal topics. So, to kick things off, let’s talk about a tough one – divorce. Can you talk to us about how you overcame divorce?
Divorce can be like a death. Or an escape. Regardless of what got you there, it is a release. A release from hurt. Pain. Unhappiness. Discontent. A return…hopefully…to joy. To happiness. To peace of mind. You should never enter into divorce without weighing ALL of the cost. Doing the work through self-reflection and therapy. And if you utilize the right tools, you will develop ways and tools to find your way back to yourself. Women so often get lost in marriage. Your wants and desires are no longer your own and you become a reflection of the relationship. You become US and it slowly chips away at your individuality. The things that make you great. That makes you happy. It is a bad habit and a trap. You minimize unhappiness and say it is just part of being married. But the reality is…relationships don’t have to be hard. They can be nourishing. They can be easy. They can bring you joy and happiness. And when you realize that you find that there is sunshine on the other side of those storms of divorce. So, for me, overcoming divorce was a journey of self-reflection and love. I traveled. I surrounded myself with my close friends; I laughed. I cried. I RELEASED!

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?
Being a leader in social and environmental change carries significant responsibility and impact. By combining sustainability with societal benefits. I am shaping not only the future of businesses but also of communities and ecosystems.

With 20+ years of experience and an exceptional record with global giants like Yum Brands and World Wildlife Fund and Genesys, my ability to inspire organizations to embrace the dual responsibility of profitability with purpose has been transformational.

My passion for both sustainability and DEI is a powerful combination. These areas are deeply interconnected, as true sustainability includes not only environmental stewardship but also equity and inclusivity.

My journey has been filled with purposeful pivots that have led to profound growth, insight, and empathy for others. Those shifts have deepened my motivation to build more sustainable future and create space for others.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
Authenticity- Never lose sight of who you are regardless of the storms

Empathy- Look beyond yourself

Faith and Grace- Extend yourself the grace and time to heal and have faith in what is next to come

Alright so to wrap up, who deserves credit for helping you overcome challenges or build some of the essential skills you’ve needed?
I am so grateful for my personal board of directors. A group of people that are my personal confidents and truth tellers.
