We recently connected with Brielle Lopez and have shared our conversation below.
Brielle , we’re so excited for our community to get to know you and learn from your journey and the wisdom you’ve acquired over time. Let’s kick things off with a discussion on self-confidence and self-esteem. How did you develop yours?
Since I was little I have always been a social person, I was curious about the world and would ask questions all the time. I had a toy microphone that I would use to sing in everyday. I would sing to my parents, siblings anyone who cared to listen to me. They applauded me and It made me so happy, I wanted to do it over and over. By the time I was in elementary school I was performing in the talent shows every year. I loved being on stage, I felt excitement, courage, and freedom to express myself. Believing in myself gave me the confidence I have today. Encouragement from my family, and peers built my self-esteem. As I continue to grow so does my confidence, I like to have positive outlook on life. Staying busy with sports, and activities keeps me going everyday.
Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?
Right now I’ve been working on some exciting commercials with famous guest stars. One being Andrew Cohen American radio and television talk show host, producer, and writer. We worked together on a commercial for Walmart it’s out now. I also just finished shooting a commercial with another celebrity. It was a fun one! I have new collaborations I’m working on. I just teamed up with Fashion Nova and Yellow Brick Road. Two great fashion brands. I’m very excited to work with them. I’m also taking acting classes. My goal this year is to book a role on a tv series.
Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
Taking acting classes consistently and staying focused everytime I had an audition. It’s very important to take classes on any type of activity you love. Whether it’s for sports, acting, even at school. It you want to get better at something you have to practice everyday.
What do you do when you feel overwhelmed? Any advice or strategies?
There are days I feel overwhelmed with school, auditions and just everyday life. Some activities I like to do to help with that are go for walks around my block with my dog. Also exercise in my room for 30 minutes and listen to music. I have found those very helpful.
