Meet Brielle Seeley

We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Brielle Seeley. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Brielle below.

Hi Brielle , thank you for being such a positive, uplifting person. We’ve noticed that so many of the successful folks we’ve had the good fortune of connecting with have high levels of optimism and so we’d love to hear about your optimism and where you think it comes from.

Where does my optimism come from?

My optimism didn’t come from ease, it was forged through heartbreak, solitude, and the decision to finally choose me.

For over a decade, I found myself in relationships where I gave everything to others, their needs, their dreams, their families while leaving nothing for myself. I was so used to giving that I forgot how to receive. I believed happiness meant following the path I’d been conditioned to want: get married, have kids, build a life rooted in stability. But I never stopped to ask: Is this what I really want? Or is it what I think I’m supposed to want?

When my last relationship ended in July 2024, it was one of the most emotionally challenging moments of my life, but also the most necessary. In the aftermath, I began seeing the number 11:11 almost daily. At first, I dismissed it, but over time it felt like a quiet, divine reminder, It’s time to listen to your soul.

On 11/11/2024, I bought myself my first professional camera, a promise to myself that I would start investing in my vision and my healing. Shortly after, I went on a national park trip with close friends, visiting places I hadn’t seen since I was a child Colorado, Utah, Arizona, places I once explored while being homeschooled and traveling with my mom. That trip reconnected me to my inner child and reminded me of the version of myself that felt most alive adventurous, radiant, creative, and free.

But the real transformation began after that trip. Since then, I’ve traveled to the mountains alone four different times. Each solo journey challenged me in a new way, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. Being alone in the mountains stripped away all the noise and distraction, forcing me to face myself fully. The silence made space for clarity. The stillness gave birth to self-trust. There’s something sacred about navigating unfamiliar terrain with no one to lean on but yourself. Those solo trips tested what I’m made of, my resilience, my independence, my capacity to create joy in solitude.

Through those experiences, I found comfort in my own presence. I learned how to slow down, breathe deeper, and witness the beauty around me without needing to share it with anyone else to validate its worth or mine. I discovered that I’m capable of building my life alone, and more importantly, I’m worthy of the life I envision.

That strength, that trust in myself, that inner peace, that’s where my optimism comes from.

It’s not blind positivity. It’s grounded, lived-in belief. It’s the unshakable knowing that no matter what life throws my way, I have everything I need within me to rise, to rebuild, and to bloom. It’s understanding that every storm will pass, just like they do over the mountains, and when the sun returns, the beauty will still be there, perhaps even more vivid than before.

Today, I carry that light into everything I do. Whether it’s through my photography, my creative work, or the events I co-host with Shaylin Cote to bring artists and creators together, my purpose now is rooted in authenticity, connection, and unity. want others to know that it’s not only possible to heal it’s possible to thrive.

To anyone struggling, I say this: You are allowed to begin again. You are allowed to be your own sanctuary. And when you do that, life opens up in ways you could never imagine.

Optimism is choosing yourself, every single day and watching your whole life change because of it.

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?

My name is Brielle, and I’m the heart behind Briella Rosela a brand where creativity, healing, and soulful storytelling come together. I’m a content creator, certified healing practitioner, and visionary photographer, and everything I offer is rooted in the belief that beauty begins within and from the process of healing. My work is about more than just taking pictures it’s about helping people reclaim their light, own their truth, and feel empowered in who they are.

The foundation of my brand was born out of deep personal healing. After experiencing a profound heartbreak, I found myself navigating one of the darkest seasons of my life. It was through stillness, grace, and patience that I began to reconnect with my own light a light that had never left, only dimmed. That experience inspired my signature session: Healing Through the Lens.

These sessions are sacred experiences not just photoshoots, but soulful ceremonies of self-return. They begin with grounding rituals like breathwork, quiet presence, herbal tea, or guided meditation. We create space to honor whatever you’re walking through grief, joy, rebirth and then we co-create imagery that reflects your essence, your transformation, and your light. It’s for anyone who is ready to be seen, not just by a camera, but by themselves.

Alongside these healing sessions, I also offer branding photography, lifestyle shoots, couples sessions, and travel-based portraits that all carry the same intention: authenticity, depth, and connection. Whether you’re a business owner building a brand, an artist looking to express your vision, or simply someone wanting to preserve a special moment in time — my goal is to hold space for you and tell your story with intention.

One of the most exciting aspects of my journey now is community. I’ve recently joined forces with my dear friend and fellow creative, Shaylin Cota, to co-host our Create & Collab events & gatherings that bring together artists, entrepreneurs, and visionaries to co-create in nature, connect deeply, and uplift one another. These events are centered around creative freedom, unity, and expression and they’ve quickly grown into something magical.

Looking forward, I’m expanding my brand to include personalized self-love journals, digital healing guides, and retreat-style photography offerings that weave together wellness, spirituality, and artistry.

Briella Rosela isn’t just a brand, it’s a sanctuary. A place for light. A space where people feel seen, celebrated, and empowered. My mission is to help others come home to themselves because the light we seek is already within us. We just need to remember.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?

Looking back, the three most impactful qualities in my journey have been self-awareness, resilience, and intentional creativity.

Self-awareness was the turning point in everything. Learning how to sit with myself in silence, in heartbreak, in stillness helped me uncover who I truly was beneath the noise and expectations. It’s what allowed me to reconnect with my purpose and offer healing to others through my work.
✧ Advice: Make time to be still. Journal, meditate, or simply listen to your inner voice without judgment. Self-awareness doesn’t come from doing more, it comes from being more present with yourself.
Resilience is what carried me through the seasons that felt heavy, uncertain, or isolating. From heartbreak to rebuilding my business from the ground up, I learned that you don’t have to have it all figured out you just have to keep showing up for yourself with grace.
✧ Advice: Let yourself feel everything, but don’t stay stuck in the pain. Resilience is built when you choose healing over hiding and growth over fear. Surround yourself with people who speak life into you, and become that person for yourself too.
Intentional creativity gave me the ability to turn pain into purpose. My photography, events, and healing sessions aren’t just offerings they’re reflections of my soul. I’ve learned to create from a place of truth and alignment, not trends.
✧ Advice: Create from your own story. The more honest your work is, the more it will resonate. Don’t worry about perfection focus on meaning. Your lived experiences are your greatest canvas.
For anyone early in their journey, I would say this: Start before you feel ready. Heal as you build. And remember, your light doesn’t need permission to shine. Let your journey unfold at its own pace, and trust that everything you need is already within you.

Who has been most helpful in helping you overcome challenges or build and develop the essential skills, qualities or knowledge you needed to be successful?

The support I’ve received from my family, my connection to the Divine, and the mentorship of my aunt have all played a deeply impactful role in shaping the woman, artist, and healer I’ve become.

My family has always been my foundation. Their love gave me the safety to explore, to dream, and to rise even when life felt heavy. They taught me how to lead with heart, how to stand in my truth, and how to navigate challenges with grace. That grounding allowed me to strengthen the emotional intelligence, empathy, and authenticity I now bring into every session, every collaboration, and every piece of art I create.

My spiritual connection to the God/the Divine has been a guiding light the source of my intuition, my healing, and the deeper purpose behind my work. Through prayer and stillness, I’ve been able to align my creative gifts with something greater than myself. It has helped me move with intention and integrity, allowing me to not just create beautiful experiences but soul-shifting ones.

And then, there’s my aunt, a true creative force and a major inspiration in my journey. She is an artist and entrepreneur based in Grand Rapids and the founder of Huff and Bloom, a thriving floral and painting company that beautifully blends nature and art. Watching her build a successful business doing what she loves showed me that it’s not only possible to live your truth but to flourish in it. Her guidance has been priceless. She’s helped me understand how to translate passion into a sustainable business, how to stay true to my artistry while still being strategic, and how to trust the creative process even when the outcome is uncertain.

Thanks to her mentorship, I’ve refined my eye for detail, expanded my creative toolkit, and learned how to approach my brand Briella Rosela as both a heart-led mission and a thriving business.

Together, these influences the nurturing of my family, the wisdom of my aunt, and the presence of the Divine — have shaped not only my journey, but the depth, creativity, and healing that flow through every offering I share.
