Meet Britt Hyatt

We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Britt Hyatt. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Britt below.

Britt, we’re thrilled to have you on our platform and we think there is so much folks can learn from you and your story. Something that matters deeply to us is living a life and leading a career filled with purpose and so let’s start by chatting about how you found your purpose.

I’ve always known I wanted to design websites. Even as a teenager, I was obsessed with coding AOL and MySpace profiles and seeing how creativity and tech could come together. But for a long time, I thought that being a website designer was my purpose and when I realized it wasn’t, it was really, really gutting.

It wasn’t until I walked through some hard points in my career, like leaving a business partnership, freelancing solo, and facing some of my lowest income months, that I realized what I was really searching for was impact. I didn’t just want to make websites, I wanted to use my skills to help kind people get seen, supported, and successful.

That’s how my business, Pop Impact, was born. It’s from my personal belief that visibility should lift everyone. My purpose isn’t “just” design itself, it’s helping inclusive, values-driven brands rise in visibility so they can do more good in the world.

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?

I’m the founder of Pop Impact, where I blend website design and SEO strategy to help kind, creative entrepreneurs in the wedding industry get visible in ways that feel true to them. I work primarily with photographers, planners and florists who pour their hearts into their craft and care deeply about representation, community and doing business with purpose.

What excites me most about this work is that it’s never just about websites or search rankings. It’s about creating visibility that feels human. I get to help good people build platforms that reflect who they are and make space for every kind of love, every story, every identity.

Right now, I’m focused on expanding Pop Impact’s one-day intensives, which give small business owners clarity, confidence and results without the overwhelm. I’m also working on new education-based resources to help creative entrepreneurs better understand SEO, so they can grow their businesses sustainably and with intention.

If there’s one thing I want people to know about my brand, it’s that I believe that your online presence should not only attract your dream clients, but also reflect the world you want to see.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?

The three qualities that have made the biggest impact in my journey, especially in most recent years, are resilience, empathy, and clarity.

Resilience kept me moving when things didn’t go as planned. Like it or not, entrepreneurship is a rollercoaster. And, while I’m always a thrill ride seeker (maybe that’s why I do it?!), those lows or sometimes the hard stops mid-loop can really knock the wind out of you. Whether that meant rebuilding after a business partnership ended, navigating unpredictable income as a freelancer, or learning to start over with intention. Growth in business isn’t a straight line and it’s sometimes a bunch of scribbles, but resilience taught me that setbacks are often just redirections. I always tell people that I HAVE to believe that a hardship is happening for a reason, and to date, I haven’t been proved wrong.

Empathy has been at the heart of everything I do. It’s what allows me to connect with my clients on a deeper level and create websites that truly reflect who they are. The best design work doesn’t come from templates or trends, it comes from listening, understanding, and caring about people’s stories. I truly hope that all of my clients have felt this way when working with me.

Clarity has been the difference between creating just another website and building impactful visibility. Once I got clear on my “why” of helping kind, inclusive creatives get seen, everything about my business became more aligned. I was more excited to do the work that I do and to dive into it every day.

For anyone early in their journey:

– Don’t rush clarity. It’s okay if your purpose takes time to reveal itself. Keep experimenting and notice what feels meaningful. As literally the most impatient person on the planet, I can assure you that finding what you like and what you don’t like is equally as important. If you can be hands on with both, DO IT. I’ve taken some really, really crappy projects over the years to stubbornly convince myself!

– Lead with empathy, not comparison. Your best work will always come from understanding others, not measuring yourself against them. Know that literally nobody knows what they’re doing and we’re all truly just winging it. So, be kind, be patient and be helpful to others.

– And treat resilience like a skill. Every time you recover, you grow stronger, more confident and more capable of building something that lasts. It’s okay if a hardship gets you down for a day, or even a few days, but always get back up. Lean on others or even reach out to me personally if you need a little help with this!

Who is your ideal client or what sort of characteristics would make someone an ideal client for you?

My ideal client is a kind, creative entrepreneur, often a wedding professional like a photographer, planner, or florist, who pours their heart into their work and cares deeply about people. They believe in running their business with purpose and integrity, not just chasing trends.

What makes someone a perfect fit for Pop Impact is that they value impact as much as income. They want a website that does more than look good. My favorite clients are the ones who care deeply about inclusivity and representation, the ones who light up at the idea of using their platform to make more people feel seen, welcomed, and celebrated.

They’re open-minded, collaborative, and excited to learn. They trust the process, they care about their clients as much as I care about mine and they want to build a brand that reflects both their heart and their expertise.
