Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Brittanie Braggs. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Brittanie, we’re so excited for our community to get to know you and learn from your journey and the wisdom you’ve acquired over time. Let’s kick things off with a discussion on self-confidence and self-esteem. How did you develop yours?
I love questions like this because I wish everyone shared my perspective on the topic. First and foremost, it’s crucial to believe in yourself and understand the value you offer. You need to walk into a room with confidence, holding your head high, and truly knowing your expertise—embracing the idea that you are “that girl.”
Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?
I have always been a people person and have a knack for making connections. After high school, I was introduced to the real estate industry, and though I took a different path for a while, I returned as a Real Estate Agent in 2024. The joy on my clients’ faces when they find their dream homes is truly priceless and I am grateful to be apart of the process! I look forward to building more connections in Houston and the surrounding areas, providing my services with care and patience to help others enjoy a better quality of life.
On a personal note, I’m a single mother of two boys and a devoted daughter, sister, and friend. In my free time, I love exploring new restaurants, hitting the gym, and spending quality time with friends and family!
Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
The three essential skills for making an impact in my journey as a real estate agent are communication, market knowledge, and relationship-building. My best advice for newcomers in this industry is to familiarize yourself with the market by taking advantage of the many available resources. Additionally, mastering effective communication will enhance your networking efforts, making it easier to spread the word about your business with every conversation.
Looking back over the past 12 months or so, what do you think has been your biggest area of improvement or growth?
My biggest area of growth has been cultivating patience. Success in this industry isn’t achieved overnight; it becomes more rewarding as you develop the skills needed to build strong relationships. While some clients are ready to purchase a home right away, others may need more time, and you have to be prepared for deals that might fall through. Ultimately, staying dedicated and passionate about what you do will help you navigate those moments when patience is tested.
