Meet Brittany Alexander

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Brittany Alexander. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Hi Brittany, thanks for sharing your insights with our community today. Part of your success, no doubt, is due to your work ethic and so we’d love if you could open up about where you got your work ethic from?

My work ethic comes from one of the strongest women in my life, a woman who not only paved the way, she laid a solid foundation and legacy for me to follow and lean on. My Grandmother, Gloria Ockletree. A hairstylist, salon owner, therapist, friend, everything in one. I watched her as a young child working in the salon; providing the best customer service, salon etiquette, being a mother, friend to her clients, service provider, therapist, anything, anyone, that walked in her salon needed, she was. I didn’t know it then, but she was showing me the woman I was destin to become through hard work and dedication. I watched her hardiest days to her easiest, I was listening even when I probably shouldn’t have, but through her, I learned what it meant to truly have patience and passion for the work you do, to achieve the end result.

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?

I’m a certified extension expert specializing in all types of hair care services with emphasis on clients with alopecia. I received my wig & weaving certification from Mannequin Beauty school in Houston Texas, after which I extended my training catalogue around the world to include places like Atlanta, Dallas, Milwaukee, Chicago, and earning a master certification in hair extensions services from Bellami professionals in Houston, Texas. With my technical skills and passion I strive to enchace each client’s natural beauty through tape-ins, sew-ins, wigs and other infusion methods. My home salon is based in her home town of Elgin, Tx, but she has recently started bringing her top tier services to clients in the houston and surrounding areas.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

Three of my most important skills on this journey have been, the “THREE Ps”. Passion, Patience & Persistence.

You must have a PASSION for anyting in life that you desire to achieve. Where passion doesn’t reside, the results wont either.
Be patient…stay the course and run the race with patience.
Persistence- go after what it is youre seeking and stay persistent.

Alright, so before we go we want to ask you to take a moment to reflect and share what you think you would do if you somehow knew you only had a decade of life left?

Building my brand, pouring into my foundation, writing a timeline of the thing I wished to accomlish by certain dates. All the things I do now (on borrowed time), Id do 10X harder because I knew the time I had. Spend the time building my brand, leaving legacy of B. Nicole Hair Extensions. I want my legacy to ring louder than SUAVE when I leave this world.
