Meet Brittany Christie

We recently connected with Brittany Christie and have shared our conversation below.

Alright, so we’re so thrilled to have Brittany with us today – welcome and maybe we can jump right into it with a question about one of your qualities that we most admire. How did you develop your work ethic? Where do you think you get it from?

I’d say my work ethic comes from my background as an athlete and the strong influence of my father. Being a former athlete, I was coached by some demanding, high-standard coaches who instilled in me a sense of discipline and a drive to achieve our very best. In sports, you learn to compete fiercely, push yourself beyond your limits, maintain your composure in pressure-filled situations, and build resilience without letting obstacles affect your performance. It’s not just about winning games; it’s about building character, and those lessons have shaped who I am today.

As I navigate my professional career, I’m also learning that rest isn’t a reward but a necessity. This is something I’ve had to unlearn from my time as an athlete. I understand that to do my best work, I need to give myself the opportunity to reset and recharge. By ensuring that I carve out time and space for myself, I can show up fully engaged and ready to tackle challenges head-on.

My father also had a big impact on my approach to work. He always told me, ‘If you have to ask someone for something more than once, that’s your indication that you need to do it/get it yourself.’ That advice has taught me to be accountable, to take ownership of my goals, and to never shy away from putting in the effort to achieve them. These influences drive me to stay motivated and work hard.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?

I am the Founder of Christie’s Sports and Philanthropy Strategy Group, which focuses on helping clients make an impact beyond the sidelines through their causes of interest in their communities. What excites me the most about this work is the opportunity to bring our clients’ visions to life. I love being part of a process that empowers them to expand their reach, forge new connections, and ultimately enhance their overall impact.

Through our initiatives, we aim to foster meaningful engagement between athletes and their communities, showcasing how sports can serve as a powerful vehicle for positive change. I’m thrilled that we are currently exploring new events and partnerships that will further amplify our mission.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

1. Consistency: I firmly believe that how you do anything is how you do everything. When you identify one area of improvement in your life, it tends to carry over into your professional and personal realms. Whether it’s becoming a better business owner, friend, or accomplishing a new goal, striving for consistency in all aspects of life can lead to profound growth.

2. Confidence: Confidence is essential. It empowers you to pursue and accomplish your goals. However, this confidence is built through preparation and practice. The more you prepare and hone your skills, the more your confidence will grow. Embrace the journey of preparation; it will give you the assurance you need to tackle challenges head-on.

3. Clarity of Vision: It’s crucial to take limited opinions into account and focus on what God has shared as your vision. Too many external voices can cloud your judgment and sway you from the path He has set for you. Sometimes, it’s important to keep certain aspirations close to your heart and not share everything with the world. Trust in your vision and allow it to guide you.

How would you describe your ideal client?

My ideal client is someone who is deeply passionate about their community and committed to making a meaningful difference. They understand the importance of using their platform to effect positive change and are eager to engage with their audience in innovative ways.

I look for clients who embrace creativity, recognizing that unique and imaginative approaches can drive engagement and maximize impact. These individuals are open to collaboration and understand that together, we can develop strategies that resonate with their vision and amplify their efforts. Ultimately, my ideal client is someone who is ready to take bold steps toward creating a lasting legacy in their community.
