Meet Brittany Crystal Kidwell

We were lucky to catch up with Brittany Crystal Kidwell recently and have shared our conversation below.

Brittany Crystal, we are so happy that our community is going to have a chance to learn more about you, your story and hopefully even take in some of the lessons you’ve learned along the way. Let’s start with self-care – what do you do for self-care and has it had any impact on your effectiveness?

Self-care is the foundation of how I show up as my best for myself and others. In 2019, I began taking a more holistic approach to wellness, and that’s when I discovered sound healing, reiki, and yoga. These practices transformed my life and ultimately became my path of service as both a healer and a sensei.

Massage and spa days are also an essential part of my self-care rituals! As an aerialist and woman who uses her body as a vessel for art and energy, it’s vital that I give myself time to recharge and rejuvenate. I love exploring new spas and treatments! It’s one of the ways I stay inspired, nurtured, and connected to my body.

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?

I am Brittany Crystal, a multi-faceted performing artist from the Greater Emerald City. I’m an aerialist, dancer, and singer-songwriter, and I’ve had the joy of performing at festivals, shows, and events across the country. After spending eight years in Los Angeles and Houston, I’m now back home in the Pacific Northwest, performing regionally while continuing to develop my music.

I just released my first song on streaming platforms with Dre Fariñas, BATMAN (BATGIRL REMIX). I’m currently working on my first original song with producer Ajamu Davis/Anthem Trax — which I’m excited to integrate into my performances.

Recently, I debuted my diamond apparatus in the role of the Ghost Bride at Spoiled Rotten Lifestyle’s House of Horrors Halloween show. Performing on the diamond has opened a new portal for blending aerial artistry with my soulful expression.

At the heart of my work is creating sparkly experiences that inspire and uplift. Every show is an opportunity to connect with audiences in a way that sparks cheer, presence, and transformation.

Beyond performing, I’m also a sensei. I teach at Yoga Om Wellness in Auburn, Washington and Omni Yoga Studio in Puyallup, Washington, bringing wellness and healing practices to my community and weaving these principles into all aspects of my art.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?

One of the most impactful areas in my journey has been seeking and truly understanding inner peace. Learning to heal myself — moving from anxiety to presence — was essential for my growth and evolution. I believe that love leads to joy, joy leads to peace, and peace leads to enlightenment.

Another is cultivating safety within myself so my radiance can shine. Paying attention to the moments when my heart sparkles, listening to what lights me up, and prioritizing those things every day has guided me toward experiences and opportunities that truly nourish and uplift me.

Finally, understanding self-sovereignty has been essential in navigating life’s uncertainties. Learning what it means to trust my inner guidance and honor my unique calling has helped me walk my path with confidence and authenticity.

For anyone early in their journey, I’d say: prioritize your well-being and show up for yourself every day. When you do, your outer world will begin to shift in magical ways. Treat your body with care, build a robust self-care toolkit, and hire a team of professionals to support you along the way which will free your energy to focus on what you do best.

How can folks who want to work with you connect?

Yes! I always love collaborating with other creatives. My passion is to continue creating art and experiences that transform and uplift humanity. I have so many divine ideas ready to be brought to life — including going on national and international tours, filmmaking, and building a traditional style Japanese tea house with a performing arts center and art gallery.

I would love to partner with other magical professionals in the media and entertainment space who share a heart-centered vision and want to co-create meaningful, high-frequency entertainment and experiences. If you feel inspired to collaborate, you can connect with me through my website or on social media.
