Brittany, we’re thrilled to have you on our platform and we think there is so much folks can learn from you and your story. Something that matters deeply to us is living a life and leading a career filled with purpose and so let’s start by chatting about how you found your purpose.
I found my purpose, my calling when I wasn’t intentionally looking for it. It didn’t stay the same, it went through a transformative process. Started off dancing in church & different organizations since the age of 4. While still dancing, also fell in love with sketching portraits. In dancing, during performances, we always wore makeup & I loved the feeling & confidence makeup gave me so I asked my mom to teach me. She simply told me to act as if I’m sketching on my face, & everything clicked! I took a huge love towards makeup & looked on youtube to learn on how to achieve different makeup looks on myself. I started a youtube channel for makeup & eventually I ventured into makeup artistry also teaching makeup & cosmetology. Now my ultimate purpose is beauty & teaching it too!
Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?
About me is stemmed from my purpose. To add to my story, just practicing makeup looks wasn’t enough for my artistry. I needed to understand the process, techniques, product knowledge, skin theory, etc. I invested in other pro artists & going to esthetics & cosmetology school to learn more about skin at a deeper level & hair. I juggle 2 businesses that were developed through my purpose – Brittany Davis Artistry; makeup artistry/beauty educator – where I offer beauty mobile services in the Houston area as well as teach makeup artists the theory behind makeup artistry that will enhance their artistry & whoever is sitting in there chair. Second business is Produi Natal; my natural/beauty skincare – all products are artisan made & designed to help combat common skin issues. I also give healthy living & eating advice & guidance to aid in combating common skin issues.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
3 qualities that remain in my businesses from the beginning are 1. Always be a student – be a sponge no matter what! 2. Practice, practice, practice after you learn! 3. Natural networking – find ways to expand & be apart of something that is related to your brand.

How would you spend the next decade if you somehow knew that it was your last?
I’m currently facing a standstill, have been at an ongoing standstill for at least 2 years. It’s definitely discouraging but it’s helping me realize the steps I need to take to change that trajectory of my businesses.
