Meet Brittany Harrison

We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Brittany Harrison a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Brittany , thank you so much for opening up with us about some important, but sometimes personal topics. One that really matters to us is overcoming Imposter Syndrome because we’ve seen how so many people are held back in life because of this and so we’d really appreciate hearing about how you overcame Imposter Syndrome.
I feel like this is for sure one of the most difficult things as a creative that we constantly struggle with. It’s so easy to compare our work to someone else’s work and think, “oh I’m not as good as so and so”, “I wish my worked like that”, “I guess I’m not good enough because I’m not working with brands like that”. And the list of intrusive thoughts really goes on and on until we start to completely start to self sabotage to where we think, ” Maybe I should just give up”…….

I find myself going down this rabbit hole but even though I deal with the same thing that 99% of us deal with, I have found ways to overcome this and get through the times I’m really struggling. A couple of things that I do are, start planning a creative shoot I’m really excited about, review my education courses that I have purchased to re-educate myself on different things that I feel like i’m lacking or missing from my work. I also find that taking a break from social media, sometimes I’ll take a couple of days, really helps me to adjust my mindset, refocus it and gives my mind from comparing.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?
With my work my focus is providing high-end imagery & video content for your brand, which in turn helps you reach your audience, foster connection, & showcase your professionalism – all in one. I enjoy connecting with all those around me and my clients.

In my work my focus is working with clothing brands. I love working with both Mens and Women’s wear. I do also work with other types of clients such as skincare and jewelry brands. Photographing just products on their own and with Models are both services I provide as well as Video to provide more content for your business.

I have huge passion with working businesses and people!

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
To get to where I am today I definitely would contribute it to three different things, Perseverance, Creativity and Dreaming Big!

Perseverance- I have started different businesses because I have always had an entrepreneurship mindset and just enjoyed being my own boss. Photography is the first one that I have stuck with the longest, haven’t gotten burnt out to the pint where I just couldn’t do it anymore and I am constantly falling gin love with my work and this business. Even through rough patches I have kept going because I have grown a strong passion for this and know that this path I am on is exactly where I want and need to be right now.

Creativity-Without it, I would not be a photographer. I have a very artsy, creative mind that allows to me to really envious different concepts and bringing them to life. I for sure thrive off being artsy and it truly brings me so much joy and fulfillment.

Dreaming Big- This year was the first year I ever made a vision board and it’s been so amazing to see all the dreams I have!! It hangs up in my kitchen and I see it ALL THE TIME! I haven’t been able to reach a lot of my goals I have for this year but I am always working towards them and I with seeing the progress that I have made is just as big of an accomplishment to me. I know that next year I will for sure accomplish some of the goals I have on my board!

Don’t give up on what you have a passion for and DREAM BIG!!!

Okay, so before we go we always love to ask if you are looking for folks to partner or collaborate with?
I am looking to collaborate with clothing and beauty brands to provide content for their website and socials. I am offering a one time free trial to those I haven’t worked with before. I will provide a certain amount of images and video in exchange for product.

The goal with the free trial session is to find more clients that align more with the path I want my career to go down and end up establishing a consistent working relationship with you.

For those that are interested you can email me at, bjunellephotography@gmail.com

I look forward to working with you and to help grow your business that much more, provide high-end photo and video for you and bring in more clients/customers.
