Brittany, we’re thrilled to have you on our platform and we think there is so much folks can learn from you and your story. Something that matters deeply to us is living a life and leading a career filled with purpose and so let’s start by chatting about how you found your purpose.
I discovered my purpose during my time as a collegiate athlete, particularly while serving as a team captain at Winston Salem State University. It became evident that my natural ability to communicate and unite a group towards a common goal brought me immense joy. This realization ignited my desire to impart these valuable skills to others, helping them lead purposeful lives by pursuing their ambitions, persevering, and appreciating the importance of a strong support system.
As I transitioned into my career, I found fulfillment in identifying and solving problems in people’s lives and businesses. This drive led me to establish my non-profit, Empowered Aspirations, with a mission to empower women to achieve their dreams and unlock their full potential. Through our transformative programs, which encompass physical fitness, small groups, and daily motivation, we equip women with the tools to build healthy habits and make positive changes in their lives. Witnessing individuals transform into the best versions of themselves has become my passion, and I invite others to join us on their journey to a life filled with purpose and fulfillment.
Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?
As a mom, entrepreneur, and woman of faith, I understand the struggle of balancing a busy life and striving to accomplish everything on your task list. Many women I’ve met face this challenge, whether they have children or not. They want to be dependable friends and efficient household managers, and it can be overwhelming.
However, my dedication to service doesn’t end with my coaching work. I go above and beyond by leading a non-profit organization called Empowered Aspirations. This organization serves as a haven for women and youth, empowering them to reach for their most ambitious goals. My leadership in this endeavor creates a safe and supportive environment where dreams can flourish, and barriers are shattered.
In my role as a Life & Wellness Coach, I empower individuals to develop strategies that create manageable systems in their lives. These systems simplify routines, free up time, and reduce the sense of overwhelm in daily tasks. My belief is that we shouldn’t have to sacrifice our personal desires to achieve balance in our lives. With Empowered Aspirations, we can indeed do it all!

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
Looking back on my journey, I believe that three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge have been most impactful in shaping my path: Time Management, Self-Care, and Patience.
Time Management: Time management has been crucial in my journey, especially as a busy mom, entrepreneur, and coach. Learning how to prioritize tasks, set realistic goals, and efficiently allocate my time has allowed me to juggle various responsibilities effectively. To those starting their journey, I’d advise them to develop strong time management skills early on. Utilize tools like calendars and to-do lists, and don’t be afraid to delegate when necessary. Recognize that time is a valuable resource, and how you manage it can greatly influence your success.
Self-Care: Self-care is often overlooked but incredibly essential. Taking care of oneself physically, mentally, and emotionally is vital to maintaining the energy and resilience needed for a demanding journey. For those beginning their journey, I’d stress the importance of self-care. Make time for activities that rejuvenate you, whether it’s exercise, meditation, hobbies, or spending quality time with loved ones. Prioritize your well-being, as it directly impacts your ability to navigate challenges and stay motivated.
Patience: Patience has been a cornerstone of my journey. Success rarely happens overnight, and setbacks are part of the process. Learning to remain patient during difficult times and understanding that progress can be gradual has been pivotal. To those embarking on their journey, I’d advise them to cultivate patience. Set realistic expectations and understand that achievements may take time to materialize. Stay focused on your long-term goals while appreciating the small victories along the way.

Fitness Professionals: I’m interested in partnering with fitness experts, trainers, or gym owners who share a passion for promoting holistic well-being. Collaborations could include joint wellness events, workout sessions, or even co-hosting workshops on the importance of fitness in maintaining a balanced life.
Self-Care Enthusiasts: Self-care is a fundamental aspect of my coaching approach, and I’d love to collaborate with businesses or individuals who specialize in self-care practices. This could involve organizing self-care retreats, mindfulness workshops, or even co-authoring resources that emphasize the significance of self-care in achieving life balance.
Restaurant Owners/Chefs: Nutrition is a vital component of overall wellness. I’m interested in collaborating with restaurants or chefs who are dedicated to offering healthy, balanced meal options. Together, we could create special menus or events that showcase the connection between nourishing food and a fulfilling life. Cooking Classes are also a great way to engage our growing group of ambitious women.
Yoga Instructors: Yoga is a powerful tool for both physical and mental well-being. I’m keen to collaborate with yoga instructors to organize yoga and wellness retreats, workshops, or classes that emphasize the benefits of yoga in achieving life balance.
Mindful Meditation Practitioners: Mindfulness and meditation are valuable practices for reducing stress and enhancing mental clarity. Collaborations with mindfulness experts could involve joint meditation sessions, mindfulness challenges, or even co-hosted events focused on cultivating mindfulness in everyday life.
Arts and Crafts Creators: Creativity is an essential aspect of self-expression and well-being. I’d love to collaborate with artists and crafters to explore the therapeutic benefits of artistic expression. Joint workshops, art therapy sessions, or art-related events can be wonderful opportunities for collaboration.
