Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Brittany Plumeri. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Hi Brittany, really happy you were able to join us today and we’re looking forward to sharing your story and insights with our readers. Let’s start with the heart of it all – purpose. How did you find your purpose?
My path definitely wasn’t linear. I started out as a teacher—a job I loved, but somewhere along the way I lost myself in the routine of it all. It wasn’t until I became a mom that I realized just how disconnected I’d become from the version of me that dreamed big. Motherhood cracked me open in the best way—it forced me to ask who I really wanted to be.
So I started experimenting. I tried everything: writing books, launching small businesses, selling online, creating content—over 30 different hustles in total. Each one taught me something new about resilience, creativity, and the kind of impact I wanted to have. Eventually, all those “failed” attempts led me here—to hosting a platform where moms can share their own stories, chase their dreams, and see that purpose isn’t something you find overnight. It’s something you build, piece by piece, in the messy middle of real life.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?
I wear a few creative hats, but they all share the same mission—to help moms rediscover themselves, chase their dreams, and build lives that feel as good as they look. I’m a children’s book author, a podcast host, and the founder of Money Hungry Mama—a growing platform and community for moms who want more than just survival mode.
What excites me most is watching other moms light up when they realize they can build something of their own—whether that’s a side hustle, a brand, or a book idea they’ve been sitting on. I get to take everything I’ve learned from trying (and failing) through thirty different hustles and turn it into encouragement, strategy, and connection for other women walking the same path.
Right now, I’m expanding the Money Hungry Mama brand in a few big ways: my traditionally published book, The Money Hungry Mama, comes out September 2026 with Turner Publishing; I host The Money Hungry Mama Podcast, where I share stories and strategies from real mompreneurs; and I recently launched The Mompreneur Table—a space where moms meet virtually three times a month to network, brainstorm, and grow together.
At the heart of it all, my goal is simple: to prove that motherhood doesn’t end your story—it just gives it a deeper plot twist.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
The three qualities that changed everything for me were resilience, curiosity, and connection.
Resilience kept me going through every pivot and failed hustle. I learned that success isn’t built on avoiding failure—it’s built on getting back up after it. My advice: let yourself try, fall, and learn publicly. The growth happens in the doing, not the planning.
Curiosity allowed me to evolve. I never set out to be a podcaster or build a community—I just kept asking, “What if?” Stay curious about your interests, your audience, and yourself. The answers rarely come in a straight line, but they always come when you stay open.
And connection—the real magic—came from surrounding myself with women who were dreaming out loud too. Community changes everything. If you’re just starting out, find people who speak the same language of ambition and encouragement. Borrow belief until you have your own.

Looking back over the past 12 months or so, what do you think has been your biggest area of improvement or growth?
My biggest area of growth this past year has been learning to slow down and lead with clarity instead of chaos. For so long, I was in constant motion—building brands, chasing goals, juggling motherhood, and trying to do it all perfectly. But I realized that being busy doesn’t always mean being productive.
Over the last year, I’ve learned to trust the pause—to plan intentionally, delegate when needed, and focus on impact over activity. I stopped trying to do everything at once and started doing the right things at the right time.
That shift has changed everything. It’s allowed me to grow Money Hungry Mama with more purpose, strengthen my community, and still be present for my family. I’ve learned that growth isn’t about speed—it’s about sustainability.
