Meet Brittany Sims

We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Brittany Sims. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Brittany below.

Hi Brittany, really happy you were able to join us today and we’re looking forward to sharing your story and insights with our readers. Let’s start with the heart of it all – purpose. How did you find your purpose?

To me, purpose is about being fully present in each moment, finding value in what life presents, and using your strengths to grow through serving God and others. It’s about embracing the phase you’re in, discovering what each day brings, and striving to become the best version of yourself. As you evolve through mistakes, you learn and improve, finding peace in who you’re becoming. Each day offers opportunities to grow and avoid repeating past errors. Simply showing up and giving your best makes all the difference.

For me, finding my purpose started from within, refusing to let my fears stop me from doing what I knew I needed to do, based on how I want to be remembered when people come into contact with me. It’s about doing what I love, not according to society’s expectations, but through truly knowing myself and cutting off distractions.

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?

I embarked on my journey driven by a commitment to turn personal challenges into sources of strength and inspiration. Confronting struggles like loss and self-worth, I recognized the transformative power of positivity and self-love. This passion led me to establish Spiritual Shade in Atlanta, GA, a brand dedicated to spreading hope and personal growth through empowering apparel.

As Spiritual Shade grew, I expanded my vision with Owoto Water, providing premium water with a focus on purity and sustainability. I also launched Echoes of Shade, our non-profit initiative supporting community well-being through impactful programs.

What excites me most is the chance to create meaningful change. With Spiritual Shade, we foster resilience and self-empowerment, while Owoto Water aligns with our commitment to environmental stewardship. Through Echoes of Shade, we extend our impact beyond products to directly aid those in need.

I’m passionate about building brands that inspire and empower, guiding others to find their purpose and strength through wellness, and reviving the mind.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?

Reflecting on my journey, three qualities have been particularly impactful. Resilience, vision, and adaptability. Overcoming personal challenges taught me the importance of bouncing back from setbacks. Developing resilience involves staying focused on your goals despite obstacles and viewing failures as learning opportunities. Embracing setbacks as growth opportunities and maintaining a commitment to your vision are key.

Having a clear and compelling vision has guided my decisions and kept me motivated. A strong vision provides direction and helps align your efforts with your long-term goals. Define a clear vision for your goals and regularly revisit and refine it to ensure it remains aligned with your evolving aspirations and values.

Adaptability has been crucial in pivoting and adjusting strategies based on new information or changing circumstances. Being adaptable helps you stay relevant and responsive in a dynamic environment. Be open to change, willing to adjust your plans as needed, and continuously seek feedback while staying informed about industry trends.

For those early in their journey, I would say stay focus on building resilience, refining your vision, and embracing adaptability that will set a strong foundation for growth and success.

One of our goals is to help like-minded folks with similar goals connect and so before we go we want to ask if you are looking to partner or collab with others – and if so, what would make the ideal collaborator or partner?

I’m looking to collaborate with individuals and organizations that share a commitment to creating positive change and driving personal growth. Ideal collaborators are innovative thinkers who bring fresh ideas and creative solutions, helping to advance our mission and push boundaries. Passionate advocates dedicated to making a meaningful impact through community support, sustainability, or empowerment are also sought after. I’m interested in partnering with visionary leaders who have a clear vision and the ability to inspire and mobilize others toward achieving common goals. Additionally, strategic partners who can offer expertise, resources, or networks that complement and enhance our initiatives are highly valued. By working together with like-minded individuals and organizations, we aim to amplify our efforts and achieve greater impact. To connect with me you can reach out via email [email protected]
