We recently connected with Brittany and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Brittany, so excited to talk about all sorts of important topics with you today. The first one we want to jump into is about being the only one in the room – for some that’s being the only person of color or the only non-native English speaker or the only non-MBA, etc Can you talk to us about how you have managed to be successful even when you were the only one in the room that looked like you?
As a Black woman, I have often found myself in spaces where I was the only one who looked like me. Instead of feeling out of place, I choose to see those moments as opportunities to shine. I lead with my personality, authenticity, and genuine care for others. I use my social skills to connect, learn, and build relationships that go beyond surface level. Every room I walk into, I aim to bring warmth, light, and positive energy. My goal is always to leave an impression that reminds others that representation matters and that grace, confidence, and kindness are powerful forms of influence.

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?
I am the founder of Bella Bee Tea, a holistic wellness brand that helps women heal and glow from the inside out. I create herbal products like yoni steaming blends, serums, and body care essentials that support natural balance, self-care, and confidence. What excites me most is seeing women reconnect with themselves through simple, intentional rituals that allow them to rest, reset, and renew their energy.
What makes my brand special is that every product is crafted with love, intention, and purpose. It is more than skincare or herbs, it is a lifestyle centered on feminine healing and spiritual renewal. I want women to know that self-care is not selfish, it is sacred, and through Bella Bee Tea, I get to remind them of that truth every single day.
If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
The three qualities that have been most impactful in my journey are resilience, adaptability, and connection.
Resilience has taught me to keep showing up even when things feel uncertain. Every challenge became a lesson that shaped me into a stronger, more grounded version of myself.
Adaptability has been key in both entrepreneurship and leadership. Whether it’s in business, work, or life, being open to learning and pivoting when needed has allowed me to grow instead of getting stuck.
Connection is what truly keeps me aligned. Building genuine relationships, listening, and learning from others has helped me grow personally and professionally.
My advice for anyone early in their journey is to trust the process and give yourself grace while you grow. Be intentional about surrounding yourself with people who inspire you, and stay curious enough to keep learning. The combination of consistency, openness, and faith in God will take you further than perfection ever could.

Any advice for folks feeling overwhelmed?
When life starts to feel heavy, I slow down and return to my self care routines. I make myself a warm cup of herbal tea, steam my face with calming herbs like chamomile or lavender, or take time for a yoni steam to release tension and reset my energy. I also love journaling because it helps me process my thoughts and come back to center. Sometimes I simply breathe deeply in silence and remind myself that peace is always available when I choose it.
Prayer is also a huge part of my peace. Talking to God grounds me in gratitude and helps me refocus my energy on faith instead of fear. I take quiet moments to pray, reflect on scripture, and listen for what God is trying to teach me in that season. It reminds me that I am never alone and that everything I face is shaping me for something greater.
My advice is to create small rituals that ground you. It does not have to be fancy, it just has to be intentional. Light a candle, breathe, sip your tea, pray, and let your body exhale. The key is learning to listen to what your spirit needs and giving yourself permission to pause and pour back into you.
