Meet Brittnay Pozen

We recently connected with Brittnay Pozen and have shared our conversation below.

Brittnay, so many exciting things to discuss, we can’t wait. Thanks for joining us and we appreciate you sharing your wisdom with our readers. So, maybe we can start by discussing optimism and where your optimism comes from?

Optimism is a choice I make every day. It’s easy to let negativity take over, especially in industries like modeling and cosmetic tattooing, where criticism and self-doubt can creep in. But I’ve learned that when you choose to be optimistic, life simply gets better. It shifts your energy, opens doors, and attracts more opportunities. People are drawn to positivity, and when you believe in yourself and your path, others start to believe in you too. Optimism isn’t about ignoring challenges; it’s about facing them with the mindset that you’ll overcome them and come out even stronger.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?

I feel incredibly blessed to have built a career in both modeling and cosmetic tattooing; two industries that allow me to express creativity in very different but equally fulfilling ways. Modeling has given me the opportunity to collaborate with amazing brands and creatives, while cosmetic tattooing allows me to help people feel more confident in their own skin.

Right now, I have some exciting things in the works for both of these passions. I recently signed on with a major brand, and while I can’t share all the details just yet, I’m beyond excited for what’s coming next! Stay tuned; big things are on the way!

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?

The three most important qualities in modeling are confidence, adaptability, and professionalism. Confidence makes you stand out. When you believe in yourself, others do too. Adaptability is key because every shoot, brand, and creative team is different, and being able to adjust quickly will set you apart. Lastly, professionalism goes a long way. Showing up on time, being easy to work with, and maintaining a positive attitude will keep you getting booked. In this industry, your reputation is everything, so always carry yourself with grace and respect.

In cosmetic tattooing, precision, an artistic eye, and client communication are essential. Precision ensures flawless results, as even the smallest details matter in permanent makeup. Having an artistic eye helps create natural, flattering enhancements that suit each client’s features. And strong communication builds trust. Understanding clients’ needs, setting expectations, and making them feel comfortable throughout the process leads to the best outcomes and lasting relationships.

What do you do when you feel overwhelmed? Any advice or strategies?

When I start feeling overwhelmed, I remind myself that stepping away is just as important as pushing forward. It’s easy to get caught up in work and responsibilities, but I’ve learned that taking breaks and prioritizing selfcare isn’t a luxury, it’s a necessity. My advice is to listen to your body and mind, recognize when you need to slow down, and never feel guilty for prioritizing your well-being. You can’t pour from an empty cup, so taking care of yourself will always help you show up better in everything you do.
