We recently connected with Brittney Bailey and have shared our conversation below.
Brittney, thank you so much for taking the time to share your lessons learned with us and we’re sure your wisdom will help many. So, one question that comes up often and that we’re hoping you can shed some light on is keeping creativity alive over long stretches – how do you keep your creativity alive?
I keep my creativity alive by staying connected to the things that inspire me the most — real life, real emotions, and real people. Every design I create for BrittneyBCreationz comes from a place of purpose. Sometimes it’s a customer’s story, sometimes it’s a tribute piece, and sometimes it’s my own growth journey. I pay attention to the little moments — music, colors, quotes, even the energy of the people around me — because all of that sparks ideas.
I also give myself room to evolve. I don’t force creativity; I let it flow. Some of my best designs have come from late-night bursts of inspiration, driving and thinking, or simply experimenting with new materials and styles. I’m always learning, always observing, and always pushing myself to elevate my craft. That’s how the creativity never dies — I treat it like part of my everyday life, not just something I turn on for business.
At the end of the day, crafting is my passion, not just my business. As long as I stay true to who I am and why I started, the creativity will always feel natural and limitless.

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?
My name is Brittney, and I am the owner and creative mind behind BrittneyBCreationz, a custom apparel and design brand built from passion, resilience, and a love for making people feel seen. I specialize in creating personalized shirts, hoodies, banners, memorial pieces, sports-themed designs, and unique apparel that tells a story. Every piece I make is done with intention — whether it’s celebrating a milestone, honoring a loved one, or helping someone promote their own brand or event.
What makes my business special is that I don’t just “make shirts.” I bring emotions to life. I’m designing things people will wear during the biggest moments of their lives — birthdays, concerts, losses, celebrations, reunions, performances, and achievements. Being trusted with those moments is something I never take for granted.
I started this business during a time when I was discovering myself creatively and personally. What began as a side hobby quickly turned into something that grounded me, healed me, and allowed me to express parts of myself I didn’t even know were waiting to be released. I’ve grown this brand while juggling school, work, and life’s ups and downs — and that journey has shaped the heart of BrittneyBCreationz.
The most exciting part of what I do is seeing people’s reactions when they receive their order. The joy, the surprise, the comfort — that’s the fuel that keeps me creating. I love that my work has the ability to inspire confidence, spark memories, and bring people together.
I’m also passionate about continuously elevating the quality of my designs. Whether I’m testing new materials, exploring new colorways, or expanding into luxury custom pieces, I’m always challenging myself to grow. Behind every creation is intention, detail, and care.
BrittneyBCreationz is more than a business — it’s a reflection of my heart, my growth, my passion, and my purpose. Every order matters to me. Every customer becomes part of my story. And I’m committed to building a brand that continues to inspire, uplift, and create meaningful moments through creativity.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
When I look back at my journey, the three qualities that shaped BrittneyBCreationz the most were resilience, intentional creativity, and relationship building. Each one played a major role in helping me grow not just as an entrepreneur, but as a woman finding her voice.
1. Resilience — learning to stand tall through challenges
Nothing about this journey has been perfect or easy. I had to learn how to keep going even on the days when things felt overwhelming — balancing school, life, and running a business. Resilience is what kept me moving when orders slowed down, when life got heavy, or when I doubted myself.
Advice:
Don’t let temporary setbacks convince you that you’re not meant to succeed. Challenges are part of the process. Take breaks when you need them, but don’t quit. Your consistency will carry you further than your motivation ever will.
2. Intentional Creativity — designing with purpose, not pressure
My creativity is the heart of my brand. What helped me stand out was learning to create from a place of emotion and authenticity. I’m not just pressing shirts — I’m telling stories, honoring memories, and creating pieces people connect with.
Advice:
Protect your creativity. Don’t rush ideas. Let inspiration come from real moments, real feelings, and real experiences. When your work has meaning behind it, people feel that — and that’s what makes your brand special.
3. Relationship Building — connecting with people, not just customers
Every order I receive represents a person trusting me with something important. That trust means everything. Building genuine relationships — listening, understanding, and showing up with care — helped my business grow naturally.
Advice:
Treat people with intention. Communicate. Be reliable. And most importantly, be human. Your relationships will open doors that marketing alone never could. When people feel connected to you, they support not just your business, but your story.
Your journey won’t look like anyone else’s, and it shouldn’t. Focus on developing the qualities that make you unique. Stay resilient, stay true to your creativity, and nurture the connections you build along the way. If you do that, your path will unfold exactly how it’s meant to.

Who has been most helpful in helping you overcome challenges or build and develop the essential skills, qualities or knowledge you needed to be successful?
I’ve been blessed with a strong support system, but a few people have truly shaped my journey — including my family, my customers, and individuals who believed in my creative path even before I fully saw it myself.
My grandmother’s legacy continues to guide me every day. Her strength, elegance, and resilience are qualities I carry with me and pour into my brand. My R.I.N.E. collection is inspired by her, and honoring her memory motivates me to keep evolving.
My parents and sibling have been my steady foundation. Their encouragement, honesty, and love helped me push through challenges and stay focused when life felt overwhelming.
My customers have also played a major role. Their trust fuels my creativity and challenges me to continue improving and expanding what I offer.
I also want to acknowledge Squallé. He has supported my creative journey in ways that made a real impact — from believing in BrittneyBCreationz early on to encouraging me to keep going when I questioned myself. He’s always recognized my potential and reminded me to stay confident in my vision. Having someone in your corner who genuinely sees your talent, without any expectations, is something I’m truly grateful for.
What all of these people have given me:
Strength when things felt heavy
Encouragement when I doubted myself
Honest motivation to stay focused
A reminder that my creativity has purpose
Their support shows up in every design and every step forward I take with BrittneyBCreationz.
