Meet Brittney Woods

We were lucky to catch up with Brittney Woods recently and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Brittney, really happy you were able to join us today and we’re looking forward to sharing your story and insights with our readers. Let’s start with the heart of it all – purpose. How did you find your purpose?

I didn’t really find my purpose, I answered it. Purpose had been calling me all along, even in seasons when I didn’t fully recognize it. It became clear when I stopped chasing what looked successful and started listening to what brought me peace, joy, and a sense of divine fulfillment.

For me, purpose lives at the intersection of worship, leadership, and helping people grow. It’s where my gifts meet the needs of others. I realized that everything I’ve walked through ; the highs, the heartbreaks, the lessons , was shaping me to serve with more authenticity and compassion.

My purpose came alive when I learned to surrender my plans and align them with God’s. Every season has been part of the preparation, teaching me that fulfillment isn’t found in doing more, but in being exactly who God created me to be, fully, faithfully, and without apology.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?

I’m the founder and heart behind BrittSong, a faith-centered brand that intertwines worship, artistry, and purpose. Through BrittSong Worship, my podcast Becoming Worship, and creative projects that reflect faith and authenticity, my mission is to help people encounter God in a way that feels both sacred and personal.

What makes my work special is that it’s born from real life ; from the places of breaking, rebuilding, and becoming. I’m a mom to a beautiful two-year-old miracle, and I’m also a woman being made whole after divorce. That journey has deepened my ministry and my message. Every song, every conversation, and every creation I share comes from that space of renewal ; the reminder that God truly restores and that beauty rises from what felt broken.

This year marks a milestone as I release my debut single, “Splendor,” inspired by 1 Chronicles 29:11 — a declaration of God’s greatness and a call to return to worship that is pure, awe-filled, and honest. To celebrate, we’re hosting a Splendor Release Gathering — not just a performance, but a moment of community and worship where people can experience God’s presence together.

Beyond the music, BrittSong continues to grow into a creative ecosystem of faith-based products, mentorship, and storytelling. My goal is simple: to reflect God’s excellence through everything I create and to help others see that their own story — even the parts that hurt — can become the foundation of something beautiful and whole.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?

Looking back, I’d say the three qualities that have carried me the furthest are faith, resilience, and intentionality.

Faith has been the anchor. It’s what keeps me grounded when life shifts unexpectedly. From navigating single motherhood to rebuilding after divorce, my faith has taught me to see purpose even in pain; to trust that God is writing a story bigger than what I can see in the moment.

Resilience has allowed me to keep showing up. The journey hasn’t been easy, but learning to rise again ; softer, wiser, and more focused , has made all the difference. Every setback became a lesson in endurance and grace, shaping both my character and my confidence.

And intentionality has helped me steward every season well. Whether it’s creating music, raising my daughter, or leading others, I’ve learned that growth happens through consistency and care in how you prepare, how you show up, and how you pour into what God has given you.

My advice for anyone early in their journey is this:

Stay rooted — don’t rush the process. Growth takes time.

Protect your peace — clarity comes in stillness.

Show up daily — even when you don’t feel ready. Every small act of obedience builds something lasting.

Most of all, remember that purpose isn’t about perfection, it’s about becoming. Let God refine you as you go, and you’ll find that every season prepares you for the next.

One of our goals is to help like-minded folks with similar goals connect and so before we go we want to ask if you are looking to partner or collab with others – and if so, what would make the ideal collaborator or partner?

Absolutely ! I’m always open to collaborating, especially with people who carry integrity, excellence, and heart in what they do. Collaboration is powerful when it’s rooted in shared purpose, not just shared projects. I love working with individuals who believe in authentic worship, creative storytelling, and building community through faith and artistry.

The people I connect with best are those who see their work as ministry. Whether they’re producers, songwriters, visual artists, event planners, or business professionals. I’m drawn to collaborators who value both creativity and character, who are not afraid to dream big but also willing to do the quiet, consistent work it takes to bring vision to life.

Right now, I’m especially excited to partner with producers, videographers, worship leaders, and creative entrepreneurs who align with the heart of BrittSong: creating spaces and sounds that honor God, uplift others, and reflect beauty and excellence.

Ultimately, I’m looking for purpose-driven partnerships. People who understand that we’re not just building brands or songs, we’re building impact. When vision meets humility and faith, incredible things can happen.
