We were lucky to catch up with Brittni De La Mora recently and have shared our conversation below.
Brittni, thanks so much for taking the time to share your insights and lessons with us today. We’re particularly interested in hearing about how you became such a resilient person. Where do you get your resilience from?
I wasn’t always resilient. There were times when I wanted to throw in the towel on life and give up. It was at my lowest point when I contemplated ending my life that I felt God’s loving presence right there with me. Not long after, I quit the adult film industry to follow Jesus. My strength and resilience comes from my Creator and being connected to Him.
Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?
Several years after leaving the adult film industry, I knew I needed to create a space to help other sex workers and consumers find freedom. My husband, Rich, and I founded LoveAlwaysMinistries.com. We’ve created an online space for people to get connected and stay accountable, along with books, podcasts, and courses to help people find freedom from pornography.
I also mentor several women who have left the adult industry. I love giving back to people who are where I once was, and seeing their lives transform before my eyes fills me with deep gratitude.
On May 1st, I am launching a new video and audio podcast called Uncensored with Brittni De La Mora. I’ll share culturally relevant topics (mostly on sexuality) from a Christian perspective. I am very excited to give this resource away. I interviewed a social media influencer, Alysia Magen, known for beating Blac Chyna in a boxing match. She recently quit Only Fans to follow Jesus. She wanted to share her story on my platform for the first time.
I’m also interviewing other women who left the adult industry behind, including form porn star Lisa Ann. She and I will talk about the mental health crisis among sex workers. I am very passionate about Uncensored. It’s going to bless a lot of people.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
1. Developing a relationship with God—praying, reading the Bible, worshipping, and going to church—transformed my life. 2. Self-reflection—Don’t be hard on yourself, but often, take an honest analysis of where you are compared to where you want to be. Take note of the things you love about yourself and the areas you’d like to grow in. I study my areas of weakness often so that I can grow. I read a lot of psychology.
3. Don’t be afraid to ask for help. Find a mentor and reap as much wisdom as you can from them. Don’t be afraid to be the “dumbest” in the room! You’ll only grow in doing so.
Okay, so before we go we always love to ask if you are looking for folks to partner or collaborate with?
I would love to partner with people who have a heart for seeing people find freedom from pornography. I’d also love to connect with anyone who has been a part of the adult industry in whatever capacity.
