We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Brittni Rankin. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Brittni below.
Brittni, looking forward to learning from your journey. You’ve got an amazing story and before we dive into that, let’s start with an important building block. Where do you get your work ethic from?
I credit my work ethic to my dad. Growing up, my parents owned their own business, so I had a front-row seat to what dedication really looked like. My dad was always up early and often worked evenings, weekends, and even holidays. He led by example — never cutting corners, always going the extra mile, and staying committed no matter what the day looked like.
He didn’t just work hard — he also taught us to value responsibility. From a young age, my sister and I were involved in the family business, learning the ropes hands-on. He helped us open our first savings accounts, taught us how to manage money, and instilled the importance of tithing. These weren’t just life lessons — they were character-building experiences that shaped how I view commitment and purpose.
His biggest lesson, though, was always to work hard and find ways to set yourself apart. That stuck with me. It’s what pushed me to pursue my own business, B Linked Permanent Jewelry. Even though this industry is creative and fun, it still requires grit, late nights, and hustle — all things I watched my dad model so well. Every time I show up for my clients, take care of the behind-the-scenes details, or push through a long event day, I think of how deeply those values are now woven into who I am.
Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?
Hi! I’m Brittni Rankin, the owner of B Linked Permanent Jewelry. For 12 years, teaching was my passion — I loved helping others learn and grow. After becoming a mom to twins, I knew I wanted to continue creating meaningful experiences while still being present for my family. That’s how B Linked was born.
I started this business because I was tired of investing in jewelry that would tarnish or fade over time. I wanted pieces that could keep up with real life — durable, beautiful, and timeless. When I discovered permanent jewelry, it felt like the perfect blend: water-resistant, non-tarnishing jewelry that doesn’t just look good but can keep up with my lifestyle.
What makes B Linked special isn’t just the jewelry — it’s the meaning behind each piece. Whether it’s for a friendship, a milestone, or just a “treat yourself” moment, every link is about connection. It’s about creating lasting bonds with pieces that are as strong as the moments they represent.
Right now, I’m focused on growing B Linked through local pop-ups and private parties, including bachelorette parties, bridal showers, baby showers, and ladies’ nights across Arizona. I love helping people mark life’s special moments in a way that’s personal and lasting. I’m always looking for ways to collaborate and bring this experience to more people — and I’m so excited about what’s ahead!
If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
The three qualities that have truly shaped my journey as a small business owner: adaptability, consistency, and people skills.
1. Adaptability
Starting something new — especially a business — rarely goes exactly as planned. There have been plenty of moments where I had to pivot quickly, whether it was changing my setup for events, learning new tools, or balancing business with motherhood. Being flexible and open to problem-solving has helped me grow without getting discouraged.
Advice: Don’t wait to feel “ready.” Just start, stay curious, and give yourself permission to learn as you go.
2. Consistency
Whether it’s showing up online, keeping communication strong with clients, or perfecting the experience at pop-ups, consistency is what builds trust. Even when things feel slow or uncertain, continuing to show up has made all the difference.
Advice: Focus on small, steady actions. Keep posting. Keep connecting. Keep going — it compounds over time.
3. People Skills & Connection
This business is built on relationships. From brides to best friends to fellow vendors, B Linked has grown because of real, personal connections. I believe in creating a comfortable, positive experience for every person I link — and that genuine care creates lasting impact.
Advice: Be approachable. Ask questions. Listen well. People may forget the details, but they’ll remember how you made them feel.
No matter where you’re starting from, trust that your passion will take you far if you’re willing to learn, adapt, and keep showing up — especially for the people you serve.
Okay, so before we go we always love to ask if you are looking for folks to partner or collaborate with?
Yes — I absolutely love collaborating and connecting with others! One of the most rewarding parts of building B Linked has been meeting other women in business and working together to create meaningful experiences.
I’m always open to partnering with event planners, local vendors, boutiques, and businesses hosting pop-ups or markets. I especially love being part of celebrations — like bachelorette weekends, bridal showers, baby showers, birthdays, and girls’ nights — where we can create lasting memories and beautiful, permanent pieces to go with them.
