Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Broken Wires. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Broken Wires, so excited to have you with us today. So much we can chat about, but one of the questions we are most interested in is how you have managed to keep your creativity alive.
Between all the members of the band, we have a wide and eclectic taste in music that spans multiple genres, from classic rock and prog to soul, hip hop and jazz.
This means we each bring different aspects of creativity to the studio when it comes to writing, rehearsing and performing our songs.
We love to watch other bands play, from grassroots gigs at independent venues to large scale arena events and festivals.
Playing at a diverse range of venues ourselves has helped to broaden our horizons too as we devise sets that suit that environment and audience.
Exciting upcoming gigs for us include a heavy metal festival called Drunken Monkey, a countryside show, a large-scale family festival called Sunshine and a city centre record store HMV Vault that will be stocking our album Author of Your World.
For us, the most important thing is to always be open to new ideas and collabs. We try to approach everything we do with a creativity that helps us to ‘see outside the box’.
Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?
We’re Broken Wires, an award-winning young rock band from Worcestershire, England that play a mixture of covers and originals.
We launched our debut album Author of Your World in October 2024 to critical acclaim with full-page reviews in newspapers and magazines both in the UK and the USA and great airtime on the radio.
Our album charted in Record Weekly’s Top 10 new releases and was streamed more than 5.5k times in 60+ countries in the first few weeks alone.
We’ve played across the UK, in Germany and in Los Angeles, New Orleans, Memphis and at The Bluebird Cafe in Nashville.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
Resilience – We’ve had a few changes in the band with two long standing members deciding to pursue other projects.
This felt tough at the time but it actually opened the door to work with even more exciting people, proving that challenges can result in some of the greatest outcomes.
Communication is key both amongst the band and in communicating our message to our audience. This has been a key emphasis for us this year and we are pleased to have forged new connections with radio shows, podcasts and media like Bold Journey whilst growing our own social network.
Time management – It may seem a little mundane but this has been a really busy year for us with major exams and project deadlines to meet alongside the promoting of our album Author of Your World, performing in the UK, Germany and America as well as writing new material. In our opinion, time management has to be a serious factor for every band in order to succeed.
Okay, so before we go we always love to ask if you are looking for folks to partner or collaborate with?
We’d love to collab with other musicians across the globe and are open to new ideas in all genres and styles
