We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Brooklyne Larue. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Brooklyne below.

Brooklyne, thank you so much for joining us and offering your lessons and wisdom for our readers. One of the things we most admire about you is your generosity and so we’d love if you could talk to us about where you think your generosity comes from.

Faith is a central part of my life, and I strive each day to live more like Jesus, following His example. This mindset began to take shape during my later years in emergency medicine. As a traveling trauma nurse, I worked in various regions of the U.S., with my final assignment being at a Level I trauma center in a major city. There, I encountered heartbreaking cases of human trafficking, especially involving children. Hearing the unimaginable stories of toddlers sharing things no child should ever experience left me shattered but deeply motivated to make a difference.

In my role as a nurse, I could perform SANE (Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner) evaluations, assisting survivors after traumatic events. However, my passion extended beyond addressing the aftermath—I wanted to focus on prevention. This calling led me back to Kansas City, where I began studying the intersection of nursing and business. I discovered that in Missouri, nurses can operate medical spas under the supervision of a medical director. I saw this as an opportunity to create a successful business that could fund initiatives combatting human trafficking.

In 2021, I opened a small medical spa in a rural area, with the goal of supporting just one organization. Three years later, the business has grown significantly, enabling us to financially support five organizations dedicated to raising awareness, preventing trafficking, and aiding recovery efforts. Additionally, I volunteer at a women’s shelter, RPOR, in the city, where I offer complimentary services to women who are actively being trafficked. Through IV nutrient therapy and personal interactions, I am able to look these women in the eye, remind them they are loved, and offer them a moment of care and dignity.

This journey has reinforced my belief in the power of faith and compassion to bring light to even the darkest situations enabling my giving to extend to social media where I am able to meet the needs of individuals in crisis through a simple status update. I am typically private messaged from someone and based on the needs, I will ask for a matching donation. This often times, well exceed to goal and provide individuals with a relief.

We can not do everything-but we can do something!

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?

At my medical spa, we specialize in aesthetics and IV therapy, offering a wide range of services from Botox and fillers to rejuvenating facials and IV treatments that promote a healthy lifestyle. Our mission is to help individuals feel confident and radiant, both inside and out.

What sets us apart is our focus on building genuine relationships and fostering a sense of community. We pride ourselves on being a personable clinic where clients feel valued and supported. While profitability is a hallmark of large medical spas, our priority lies in earning our clients’ trust and loyalty by delivering exceptional care with integrity.

We also aim to inspire our clients by showing them that their patronage has a greater purpose. Through their support, they’re contributing to meaningful initiatives that make a positive impact in the world. To accommodate diverse needs, our services are available in-office, at-home, and for special events, ensuring accessibility and convenience for everyone we serve.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?

If it is your calling, it will indeed work out in your favor. The valleys make you appreciate the hilltops!

Okay, so before we go, is there anyone you’d like to shoutout for the role they’ve played in helping you develop the essential skills or overcome challenges along the way?

My Husband – Without him, I wouldnt say I wouldnt be where I am, but he has made the process significantly smoother. He has never doubted me in any of my crazy ideas and is there every step.

My dad suffered a massive stroke back in October leading us into trials we we were never prepared for. This actually has been the toughest year of my life but I am more equipped for future trials now. I am learning patience, to trust and to enjoy moments more.
