Meet Bruce Palmer

We recently connected with Bruce Palmer and have shared our conversation below.

Bruce, we’re thrilled to have you on our platform and we think there is so much folks can learn from you and your story. Something that matters deeply to us is living a life and leading a career filled with purpose and so let’s start by chatting about how you found your purpose.

Finding my purpose was a journey. After 12 years in the military, where I was constantly told what to do, I struggled to figure out my own path. I explored various fields like photography, technology, and even becoming a flight attendant. It wasn’t until I decided to grow my hair that I discovered my passion, which ultimately led to starting my business.

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?

The biggest that i can think of is first being able to a effectively communicate with my clients, really people in general. Knowing when to say yes and no.

Repetition is another quality you need to have. Consistently doing something over and over till it’s pretty much second nature.

Finally, I would have to say having integrity, doing what’s right and doing it correctly.

Awesome, really appreciate you opening up with us today and before we close maybe you can share a book recommendation with us. Has there been a book that’s been impactful in your growth and development?

The book that really got me out of my own head and played an important role in my development was “The Four Agreements by Don Miguel Ruiz”. For a long time I was angry and I didn’t completely know why. Those four Agreements I made with myself are

Be Impeccable with Your Word
Speak with integrity, avoid gossip or negativity, and use your words to uplift and inspire.

Don’t Take Anything PersonallyUnderstand that others’ actions and words are a reflection of their own reality, not yours.

Don’t Make Assumptions
Communicate clearly and ask questions to avoid misunderstandings and unnecessary suffering.

Always Do Your Best
Your best will vary from moment to moment, but by consistently giving your all, you avoid regret and self-judgment.
