Meet Bryan Williamson

We were lucky to catch up with Bryan Williamson recently and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Bryan, really happy you were able to join us today and we’re looking forward to sharing your story and insights with our readers. Let’s start with the heart of it all – purpose. How did you find your purpose?

I found my purpose in the quiet moments—watching students struggle not because they lacked intelligence, but because they lacked individualized attention. As a science educator and curriculum designer, I saw firsthand how one-on-one instruction could transform not just academic performance, but self-worth. That realization became a calling.

Dynastic Tutors was born from the belief that high-performing students aren’t found—they’re cultivated. I wanted to build a platform that centers focus, legacy, and liberation. Whether it’s reading, finance, science, entrepreneurship, or languages, our one-on-one model ensures that each learner is seen, heard, and challenged.

My purpose is to equip young people—from grade school to college—with the tools to think critically, build wealth, and lead with clarity. Education isn’t just about content—it’s about connection. And that’s what Dynastic Tutors delivers.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?

I’m Bryan Williamson, but in the creative world I move as Bryin Zyin—an independent artist, educator, and founder of multiple legacy-driven platforms. My work spans music, curriculum design, and cultural entrepreneurship, all rooted in the belief that Black brilliance deserves infrastructure, not just applause.

As the founder of Zyin Lion Records, I’ve built a label that centers artistic autonomy and political clarity. My music isn’t just sound—it’s strategy. Every track is crafted to challenge systems, uplift communities, and archive resistance. I write, produce, and distribute independently, ensuring that my message isn’t diluted by industry gatekeepers. Zyin Lion is more than a label—it’s a blueprint for creative sovereignty.

Alongside my music, I launched The Swing State Store on Printify—a merchandise hub that blends fashion with political critique. From hoodies that challenge voter suppression to tote bags that celebrate Black educators, every item is designed to spark dialogue and fund liberation. It’s wearable curriculum with a purpose.

But my deepest focus is Dynastic Tutors, a one-on-one educational platform that empowers students from grade school to college. We specialize in reading, finance, science, entrepreneurship, and languages—offering personalized instruction that builds high-performing learners. What makes Dynastic Tutors special is our commitment to legacy: we don’t just teach content, we cultivate clarity, confidence, and cultural awareness.

Whether I’m in the studio, the classroom, or the design lab, my mission is the same: to build systems that honor Black genius and disrupt institutional neglect. I’m currently expanding Dynastic Tutors into new markets, releasing a new EP under Zyin Lion Records, and rolling out a civic literacy capsule through The Swing State Store.

This isn’t just business. It’s curriculum. It’s critique. It’s legacy.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

Three qualities have shaped everything I’ve built—whether it’s Dynastic Tutors, Zyin Lion Records, or The Swing State Store: clarity, interdisciplinary fluency, and refusal.

Clarity: I had to get crystal clear on what I was building and why. Not just a business—but a legacy. Whether I’m teaching finance to middle schoolers or producing a track under Bryin Zyin, clarity keeps me focused on impact over spectacle. Advice: Don’t chase trends. Chase truth. The clearer you are, the more magnetic your work becomes.

Interdisciplinary Fluency: I move between science, music, civics, and entrepreneurship because I see how they connect. That fluency lets me design curriculum that resonates, write lyrics that teach, and build platforms that liberate. Advice: Study widely. Remix boldly. Your power is in your intersections.

Refusal: I refused to perform pain for applause. I refused to let institutions define my worth. That refusal became fuel—for curriculum, for art, for strategy. Advice: Protect your boundaries. Refusal is not resistance—it’s design.

Whether you’re just starting or scaling, remember: your legacy isn’t built by accident. It’s built by clarity, fluency, and refusal. That’s how I built mine—and that’s how Dynastic Tutors, Zyin Lion Records, and The Swing State Store continue to grow.

How would you describe your ideal client?

My ideal client is someone who’s ready to build legacy—not just chase results. Whether they’re a student, a parent, a creative, or a community leader, the people I work best with are those who value clarity, depth, and transformation.

For Dynastic Tutors, my ideal client is a family or student who understands that one-on-one education isn’t a luxury—it’s a necessity. They’re committed to high performance in reading, finance, science, entrepreneurship, and languages, and they want instruction that’s culturally grounded, emotionally intelligent, and academically rigorous.

For Zyin Lion Records, it’s the independent artist who refuses to compromise their message. They’re not looking for fame—they’re building infrastructure. They want to produce, distribute, and archive their work with full creative control and political clarity.

For The Swing State Store, it’s the activist, educator, or everyday citizen who wants to wear their values. They’re not just buying merch—they’re funding curriculum. They want fashion that speaks, teaches, and disrupts.

Across all platforms, my ideal client is someone who’s not afraid to interrogate systems, invest in themselves, and move with purpose. If you’re building something that matters, I’m here to help you sharpen it.
