Meet Bryce North

We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Bryce North. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Bryce below.

Bryce, so excited to have you with us today. So much we can chat about, but one of the questions we are most interested in is how you have managed to keep your creativity alive.

Let’s face it: your life is only as good as the people you surround yourself with. If your friends are dull, your creativity is going to flatline. So, how do you make sure your squad is keeping your creative fire burning?

Changing environments and collecting stories is crucial. We’re not bad storytellers; we’re just bad story collectors. Traveling, meeting new people, and diving into new experiences—even the seemingly insignificant ones—are game-changers. These real-life adventures spark ideas that endless scrolling never will. How do you ditch the digital drain and dive into the world to gather your next big story?

Then there’s the power of hobbies. I paint, which is my way of turning chaos into beauty. What do you do to channel your inner artist and keep your creative engine revving?

Learning new skills is another badass way to fuel your creativity. I packed my bags and moved to Colombia to learn Spanish, master bachata, and soak in a new culture. This adventure has pumped fresh energy into my creative veins. Have you ever thrown yourself into a new skill or culture, and how did it shake up your creative game?

In short, keeping your creativity alive means curating an inspiring crew, collecting epic stories, balancing real-world experiences with online noise, indulging in hobbies, and embracing new skills. So, what’s your secret to staying creatively charged and ahead of the curve?

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?

I’m Bryce North, and I run ‘Don’t Be A Little Pitch,’ a PR agency with an edge. Before diving into PR, I launched tech companies and e-commerce brands that scaled globally. I didn’t just dabble in getting media attention—I dominated it. I even landed myself on the TV show Dragons’ Den and mastered the art of growth hacking, learning the ins and outs of building teams, raising funds, and grabbing attention. The kicker? I never relied on social media, content marketing, or paid ads. It was all about PR—partnering with people who could tell my story authentically.

What sets us apart is that we didn’t just start an agency because we can market something. We’re real entrepreneurs who have run real brands that scaled. We approach PR with an ROI and entrepreneurial mindset—something that’s sorely missing in most agencies. We’ve been there, done that, and now we’re helping others do the same.

My real superpower is storytelling—making stories so compelling that they shift perceptions and inspire action. This approach built an unbreakable culture around my brands, making it easy to raise funds, attract top talent, and win over loyal customers and clients.

Now, I’m all in on PR, but with a twist. I don’t play on the dark side of PR—no paying for media placements here. I earn media the right way: authentically and truthfully. This strategy creates stories that resonate deeply and get retold again and again. I could care less about published links; it’s all about the impact on brands.

My pride lies in the team I’ve built at ‘Don’t Be A Little Pitch.’ They’re rebels with a cause, dedicated to breaking norms, standing out, and cutting through the clutter. What excites me most is taking brands under our wing and transforming them through distinctive storytelling that makes them unforgettable.

We measure everything—from traffic and conversions to keywords, Google rankings, on-site interactions, competitor analysis, and trending news. We’re obsessed with data and impact, ensuring every move counts.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

Looking back, the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in my journey are:

1. Storytelling: The ability to craft and tell compelling stories has been my superpower. This skill not only attracted media attention but also built a strong, authentic brand culture. To develop this, immerse yourself in great stories, whether through books, films, or listening to seasoned storytellers. Practice regularly—write, speak, and get feedback. Learn what resonates with your audience and refine your narrative accordingly.
2. Growth Hacking: Understanding how to grow a brand with limited resources was crucial. This meant being creative, data-driven, and relentless in finding new ways to scale. For those early in their journey, start by learning the basics of marketing, analytics, and customer behavior. Experiment with different strategies, track your results meticulously, and don’t be afraid to pivot when something isn’t working.
3. Entrepreneurial Mindset: Approaching challenges with an ROI-focused and entrepreneurial mindset was key. It’s about being resourceful, taking calculated risks, and always looking for opportunities to innovate. To cultivate this mindset, surround yourself with other entrepreneurs and mentors. Learn from their experiences, stay curious, and be willing to take risks. Focus on solving real problems and adding value, rather than just following trends.

Advice for those early in their journey:

• Invest in Learning: Never stop learning. Whether it’s through formal education, online courses, or real-world experience, continuously expand your knowledge base. Stay updated with industry trends and be proactive in acquiring new skills.
• Network Relentlessly: Build a strong network of mentors, peers, and industry contacts. These connections can provide invaluable advice, support, and opportunities. Attend events, join relevant groups, and don’t hesitate to reach out to people you admire.
• Embrace Failure: Understand that failure is part of the journey. Each setback is a learning opportunity. Reflect on what went wrong, adapt, and keep moving forward. Resilience and the ability to bounce back are critical for long-term success.

Alright, so before we go we want to ask you to take a moment to reflect and share what you think you would do if you somehow knew you only had a decade of life left?

Currently, the biggest challenge we’re facing at ‘Don’t Be A Little Pitch’ is managing the overwhelming number of brands interested in our services. It’s clear to me that we’ve tapped into something special—doing PR the right way. Our approach isn’t about ripping people off or focusing on superficial metrics like published links. We measure real results that matter.

Frankly, I’m baffled by how others in the industry can justify charging tens of thousands of dollars per publication. That’s not real PR. Our focus is on referrals, genuine attention, and inbound requests. The demand for our services is massive, which puts us in a fortunate position to handpick the clients we want to work with.

I’m looking for edgy brands, those unafraid to stand out. If you hate public speaking, shy away from interviews, or fear offending someone, we’re probably not the right fit. This doesn’t mean we’re crass—we’re just committed to being different enough to get noticed. Once we have that attention, we can expertly shape the narrative.

So, our current issue is finding the right fit amidst this high demand. The poor state of the PR industry has given us a huge advantage. We’re ready to take on clients who are tired of being treated poorly and receiving lackluster results. We’re here to revolutionize their PR experience with authenticity and measurable impact.
