We were lucky to catch up with Caitlin Reyna recently and have shared our conversation below.
Caitlin, we’re thrilled to have you on our platform and we think there is so much folks can learn from you and your story. Something that matters deeply to us is living a life and leading a career filled with purpose and so let’s start by chatting about how you found your purpose.
It is never lost on me, that I am extremely lucky for having a passion in life. I have been making jewelry since I was 6 years old, and this craft developed and aged with me each year. I would love to say I turned my passion into a super successful business, but I haven’t (yet). Designing jewelry wasn’t just a stream of income, it has been my safe place in life. It seemed (and still seems wrong) to try and sell it to the highest bidder. I take pride in my craft and only use quality materials and intricate techniques. I was content knowing my women’s jewelry company would always be a micro-business.
In 2019, I had my daughter. And as she was getting older, I loved introducing her to jewelry making.
I then realized that a lot of bead stores across the country have closed down. Kids cannot go into a store anymore and get their creative juices flowing. So, I had the idea of bringing the creativity to the kids.
In 2022, I started The Bauble Collective. A mobile jewelry party where the beads, charms, and findings are curated for each party. Kids (and even adults at times) can celebrate together and make beautiful pieces together.
I never thought something would bring me more joy than jewelry making; however, being able to introduce kids to this passion of mine has been AMAZING! I love to see their eyes light up and witness them make 10 bracelets in one sitting.
My purpose isn’t just about making jewelry, it is sharing this passion with any kid who has an interest in it!
Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?
My name is Caitlin, and I am the founder of The Bauble Collective- a mobile jewelry company,
As a mom, I know how hard it can be to plan your child’s party and then handle all the details.
Each party is specially curated with beads and jewelry findings to make the party extra special! I even bring tables, table decor, etc to make it easier on the parents.
I am also happy to announce that I am expanding our packages, and adding a charm party (perfect for tweens, teens, and adults), the Sports Bling (this package is perfect for boys who love a little bling… just like their favorite athletes), and party favor bracelets (customized with your sayings and color schemes).
If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
The best skill I have is knowing how to make jewelry. Also, since I started as a little girl, I know the patience needs to teach young kids. I also think it’s important to give yourself grace. Success does not happen overnight. Be kind and patient with yourself.
How can folks who want to work with you connect?
Yes! I am looking to collab with local party planners in my area. I am working on getting the word out on The Bauble Collective, so would love to collaborate with event planners to help market my business.
