Meet Came Moreno

 

We were lucky to catch up with Came Moreno recently and have shared our conversation below.

Came , first a big thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts and insights with us today. I’m sure many of our readers will benefit from your wisdom, and one of the areas where we think your insight might be most helpful is related to imposter syndrome. Imposter syndrome is holding so many people back from reaching their true and highest potential and so we’d love to hear about your journey and how you overcame imposter syndrome.

With meditation and working harder every day, I began to focus all my energy and creation on my work and, above all, improve every day.

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?

Currently I am 100% dedicated to creation, I have the Came Moreno project qye works as a creator of pictorial works and muralist. I am very passionate about creating in watercolor, acrylic, pastels, black ink and spray.

Currently I will have an exhibition in Italy, it is my first Biennale in Venice and I will present 2 new works. and in February 2025 I will be at my first art fair in CDMX titled BADA. I will present new works at this art fair in Mexico.

The second project I’m working on is called Came House Store. The project consists of selling my brand with products with my graphics. such as pins, bucket hats, t-shirts, bomber jackets, I am very excited about this project because it gives people the opportunity to buy something of mine at a lower cost.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?

1 Believe in yourself even if no one does. It is very important to believe in what you see from your imagination, that process of creation is called Cyanotype. First everything arises in the imagination, second it becomes reality when it is in this world and you can materialize it.

2 Learn to Sell. My learning for this was not long ago, the reality is that you always have to give a price to your work. never give away your work

3 Get out of the comfort zone. Never stay in a place where you feel comfortable, always look for new challenges to grow as a person and with your spirit.

Okay, so before we go, is there anyone you’d like to shoutout for the role they’ve played in helping you develop the essential skills or overcome challenges along the way?

I have met good and bad people along the way, but I think the most important thing is that you always help me overcome the belief that you can achieve your dreams, in different ways, and the most important thing is that you never hurt anyone.
