Candace, so good to have you with us today. We’ve always been impressed with folks who have a very clear sense of purpose and so maybe we can jump right in and talk about how you found your purpose?
For me, finding purpose has been an ongoing process. It wasn’t something that happened overnight
I’ve always been curious about a lot of things, and I allowed myself to explore those interests without worrying too much about where they would lead. Some paths were dead ends, but others opened up new opportunities. Going through challenges with my medical conditions MS, it has taken a toll my hair that is why I decided to make a hair care line that promotes hair growth Kandeez Delite Hair & Beauty LLC.
There were moments when something just felt right. Trusting my gut feelings guided me toward decisions that aligned with my core values and passions to create my own natural hair care line. Not only does it help my hair strands/scalp but also customers who are looking, wanting to achieve those hair goals.
Conversations with mentors, friends, and even strangers have been incredibly enlightening. Hearing different perspectives helped me see my own potential and purpose more clearly.
Not everything worked out as planned, and that’s okay. Each failure taught me something valuable and brought me closer to understanding my true purpose.
My sense of purpose has evolved over time. What felt like my purpose a few years ago has grown and shifted as I’ve gained more experiences and insights.
Whether you’re just starting your journey or already on your way, remember that finding purpose is a unique and ongoing adventure. It’s about aligning your actions with your passions and values, and it’s okay if it takes time to figure out. Keep exploring, stay open, and trust the process.

From moisturizing creams and curl hydration creams that we are working on for our rebranding to nourishing oils and hair growth oil/growth butter, our product line is designed to meet the diverse needs of our customers.
We’re thrilled to announce the upcoming of our relaunch of Kandeez Delite and our new products Moisturizing Cream and our Hydration Curl Cream. These products have been formulated by our wonderful chemist Robyn Smith also known as Pretty Chemist. She as formulated our new products for us that we know our customers will love with a blend of natural vegan ingredients known for their hydration and moisture and strengthening properties. It’s perfect for those looking to give their hair an extra boost of hydration and health.
Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
The road to building a business is filled with challenges and setbacks. Resilience has been crucial in pushing through tough times and staying focused on long-term goals.
View failures as learning opportunities rather than setbacks. Analyze what went wrong and how you can improve.
Cultivate a positive mindset by surrounding yourself with supportive people and engaging in activities that uplift your spirits. Set small goals break down your larger goals into manageable tasks. Achieving these small milestones can boost your confidence and build momentum.
Understanding and prioritizing the needs and desires of your customers has been fundamental in creating products that truly resonate with them and build long-lasting loyalty. Listen actively engage with your customers through surveys, social media, and direct interactions. Listen to their feedback and use it to improve your offerings. Focus on providing real value to your customers. Ensure that your products or services solve their problems and enhance their lives.
Build relationships foster strong relationships with your customers by being responsive, approachable, and genuine. Personal connections can drive loyalty and word-of-mouth referrals.
My advice for anyone who is starting off early in their entrepreneurship seek mentorship find mentors who can offer guidance and support. Learning from their experiences can provide valuable insights and shortcuts. Invest in Learning, continuously educate yourself in areas such as business management, marketing, and industry-specific knowledge. Online courses, books, and workshops can be great resources.
Building a strong network of peers, partners, and industry contacts. Networking can open doors to new opportunities and collaborations. By focusing on building resilience, adaptability, and a customer-centric mindset, you can navigate the entrepreneurial journey more effectively and set yourself up for long-term success. Remember, every step, no matter how small, brings you closer to your goals. Stay curious, stay committed, and keep moving forward.
Before we go, maybe you can tell us a bit about your parents and what you feel was the most impactful thing they did for you?
The most impactful thing my dad did for me is teaching me to never give up. Never give up on what dreams God has set for me, the goals that I have set for myself. My dad is a very smart man the smartest man I ever known. The advice he would give me still stays strong to me it holds a lot of value to me and my company.
