Meet Candice Reeder

We were lucky to catch up with Candice Reeder recently and have shared our conversation below.

Candice, thank you so much for joining us today. Let’s jump right into something we’re really interested in hearing about from you – being the only one in the room. So many of us find ourselves as the only woman in the room, the only immigrant or the only artist in the room, etc. Can you talk to us about how you have learned to be effective and successful in situations where you are the only one in the room like you?

One thing I’ve learned when it comes to starting something new or stepping into unfamiliar situations is that you can do it when you truly want to. It may sound cliché, but persistence really is key. Whenever I’ve faced new challenges, I’ve learned that progress often comes from consistently showing up, putting in the effort, and trusting the process even when results aren’t immediate.

I’ve also realized that the small steps we take today matter. The work you put in today, or even a month ago, often lays the groundwork for the opportunities and outcomes you see later. When you’re serious about your goals and remain consistent, those efforts eventually come to fruition.

Because of that mindset, when I find myself in situations where I’m learning something new or stepping outside of my comfort zone, I focus on preparation, staying committed, and continuing to improve. Over time, that persistence builds confidence and credibility, and it allows you to contribute meaningfully regardless of the environment you’re in.

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?

I am a title operations professional with extensive experience in title search and examination, and I’m also an entrepreneur focused on building service-based businesses that support the real estate and lending industries. In my professional career, I’ve worked in leadership roles managing title production processes, ensuring accuracy in title searches, and helping teams deliver reliable results in a fast-paced environment. I enjoy the analytical side of the work and the responsibility that comes with helping protect property rights and real estate transactions.

Outside of my corporate role, I am also the founder of Agape Notary, a notary service focused on providing professional and convenient notarization services. What excites me most about this venture is the opportunity to combine my industry knowledge with entrepreneurship to help individuals, lenders, and title companies complete important transactions efficiently and securely.

For me, both my professional career and my business share the same focus: attention to detail, trust, and service. Whether I’m managing title operations or providing notary services, I’m committed to delivering work that people can rely on. I’m also excited about continuing to expand my business and exploring additional ways to support the real estate and legal communities through services like loan signings and remote online notarization.

Ultimately, I’m passionate about growth—both professionally and as a business owner—and I enjoy building systems and services that create value for others.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?

Looking back on my journey, three qualities that have been most impactful for me are persistence, adaptability, and attention to detail.

First, persistence has been critical in both my professional career and entrepreneurial journey. Many goals take time, and success often comes from consistently showing up, learning from setbacks, and continuing to move forward even when progress feels slow. My advice for anyone early in their journey is to stay committed to their goals and trust that consistent effort will eventually produce results.

Second, adaptability is essential in today’s fast-changing work environment. Throughout my career in the title industry and while building my own business, I’ve had to adjust to new systems, processes, and challenges. Being open to learning and willing to evolve has helped me stay effective and continue growing. I would encourage others to stay curious and embrace change as an opportunity to improve.

Finally, attention to detail is something that has had a major impact on my success, especially in fields like title search and examination where accuracy is extremely important. Developing strong attention to detail not only improves the quality of your work but also builds trust with clients, colleagues, and leadership.

Overall, I believe persistence, adaptability, and attention to detail are qualities that help people build strong careers and make meaningful contributions in any field.

Okay, so before we go we always love to ask if you are looking for folks to partner or collaborate with?

Yes, I’m always open to collaborating with professionals who value reliability, professionalism, and strong service. Because my background is in the title and real estate industry, I’m especially interested in connecting with title companies, real estate professionals, lenders, attorneys, and other business owners who may benefit from notary or transaction support services.

Through my business, Agape Notary, I provide professional notarization services and plan to continue expanding into areas such as loan signings and remote online notarization. I enjoy working with people who are focused on building efficient systems, supporting their clients well, and creating long-term professional relationships.

I also believe collaboration is a powerful way to grow both personally and professionally. Connecting with others in related industries allows us to share knowledge, expand opportunities, and better serve the communities we work in.

Anyone interested in connecting or collaborating can reach me by email at [email protected]. I’m always open to meaningful professional connections and new opportunities to work together.
