Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Carl Wright. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Alright, so we’re so thrilled to have Carl with us today – welcome and maybe we can jump right into it with a question about one of your qualities that we most admire. How did you develop your work ethic? Where do you think you get it from?
It’s in my DNA, as well as in the blueprint that was laid out for me by my family growing up. My family has always been involved heavily in the church and in the community. My Grandparents worked very hard to raise their five children. My Mom, Aunts and Uncles all poured into my Brother and me, what was poured into them. Thank You to The Boys & Girls Clubs and YMCAs I attended growing up and to all of my coaches throughout the years in every sport I ever participated in!
Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?
I’m the Founder and CEO of C & C WRIGHT INVESTMENTS. C & C Wright Investments offers custom notebooks, coloring books and activity books for people of all ages under the brand Carl Is Always Wrighting “Your Literary Source”. The company is constantly creating for its readers and writers, with products available on multiple platforms. We’ve recently rolled out a series of childrens coloring and activity books. These aren’t your traditional 8.5″ x 11″ coloring books. They’re 6″ x 9″ and serve as the perfect “on-the-go option for parents. These coloring books come in clutch when you need to entertain your little ones quickly. They’re great to use while traveling, cleaning, entertaining and relaxing. This year we’ll be out at vendor events in and around Atlanta. We’ll also be hosting book signings at local bookstores, so stay tuned for dates, times and locations on our social media pages!
Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
Creativity, persistence and the ability to network are the qualities that have helped me, thus far. You don’t necessarily have to be hands-on to be creative, but that of a visionary who can dream up ideas and concepts and make them a reality. The persistence to crank out quality projects, meet or beat deadlines and not give up is also super important. The ability to network is just as important as the first two qualities I’ve mentioned. We’re all puzzle pieces out here, looking to connect and expand with others, who share the same vision.
Okay, so before we go we always love to ask if you are looking for folks to partner or collaborate with?
We’re always looking to partner or collaborate with daycare centers, schools, libraries, bookstores, realtors, artists, models, social media managers and graphic designers. These are just to name a few. Big shoutout to, Frank Green of Red Gorilla Clothing for the collaboration on this feature! We’re always open to create!
