Meet Carla Galindo

We were lucky to catch up with Carla Galindo recently and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Carla, thanks for joining us today. Let’s jump right into something we’re very focused on here – improving our ability to make decisions. Everyday, we’re faced with decisions that can impact the future of our careers, businesses, relationships and more and so one of the most impactful areas for personal development, in our view, is decision-making. Can you talk to us about how you developed or improved your decision-making skills?

With a lot of practice and study and always setting new challenges to improve my work

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?

I started as my brother’s assistant, he is a clown, and at festivals like the Day of the Dead I helped him put makeup on catrinas and that’s how I started with this beautiful art. From there I started doing face painting at children’s parties and I decided to start studying since I noticed that I needed to perfect many techniques and strokes. I really enjoy working with children, they are always kind and grateful for what you do for them, they give me a lot of peace.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?

dedication, patience and love for what you do, my advice would be to study and be constant since this leads you to grow in many ways.

How would you spend the next decade if you somehow knew that it was your last?

The language has not been easy but I try to study and practice as much as possible to improve.
