Meet Carli Abiuso

We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Carli Abiuso. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Carli below.

Carli, first a big thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts and insights with us today. I’m sure many of our readers will benefit from your wisdom, and one of the areas where we think your insight might be most helpful is related to imposter syndrome. Imposter syndrome is holding so many people back from reaching their true and highest potential and so we’d love to hear about your journey and how you overcame imposter syndrome.

Imposter syndrome has been one of the biggest dragons I’ve had to face on my path. For a long time, I thought it meant I wasn’t ready—that I had to heal more, know more, be more before I could take up space as a leader. I’d look at other people who seemed so confident and think, “Who am I to do this? Who am I to guide others when I’m still figuring things out myself?” This inner critic voice used to sneak in whenever I was about to take a big leap—whether it was launching a new offer, raising my prices, or simply being seen more fully in my truth and authenticity.

What shifted everything was reminding myself that my mission is so much larger than I am: if I don’t show up, if I let fear run the show, I can’t make the impact I am here to make. Someone needs me just as I am now. I stopped waiting to feel “perfectly ready” and started asking, “What if this feeling isn’t a stop sign or a symbol to turn back, but a doorway to my next level?” I began to see imposter syndrome not as a flaw, but as a threshold guardian on the hero’s journey. A sign that I was stepping into a new level of embodiment; that I was getting closer to my power and treasure. An invitation to let courage be my ever-present guide on my quest.

Sometimes I still feel it. But now, I hold that version of me—the scared one—with compassion. I remind her: we’re allowed to be in progress and still make magick. I don’t have to be perfect. I just have to be real. That’s what people actually connect with. That’s the truth of any journey. The living myth.

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?

I’m a Mythic Guide and Artist helping heroes and heroines step into their authentic power through the lens of myth, fantasy, and soul-led transformation with my business, Your Hero’s Quest. My work goes beyond coaching or manifestation—it’s about awakening the mythic self within and living a life that feels magical, meaningful, and sovereign.

I blend ancient archetypes, storytelling, and modern spiritual practices to create immersive experiences that spark real shifts in confidence, identity, and self-trust. It’s an initiation—answering the call to adventure, walking through the fire, and rising with a crown you forged yourself.

Through my programs, creative content, and immersive storytelling, I guide people on their own enchanted hero’s journey. My signature offering, Legendary, is an 8-week quest through eight hero codes—courage, sovereignty, magick, love, confidence, transformation, rapture, and enlightenment—each one unlocking a deeper layer of the mythic self.

Right now, I’m expanding this work and planning a fairytale retreat in Scotland this Fall! I believe story is the ultimate medicine, and when we embody being the hero of our own tale, we unlock new ways of creating, healing, and leading.

Outside of guiding, I also craft handmade chainmail jewelry and armor at my own “forge”—Mythical Maille. I even created a full costume for the Renaissance Faire as part of my mission to make life a living fantasy. Whether through art, ritual, or everyday magick, I love helping others bring that sense of epicness into their mundane world.

At the core of it all, I’m here to help those who feel called to something greater begin or expand their journey—with courage, creativity, and mythic devotion.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?

Looking back, the three most impactful qualities in my journey have been devotion, imagination, and skill-building.

Devotion kept me on the path when nothing outside of me said it was working. I wasn’t just building a business—I was answering a soul-deep calling. That kind of commitment and persistence is what drove my momentum. But more than that, it called me into the deep inner work—facing every limiting belief, insecurity, scarcity pattern, and shadow that was ready to be healed. Entrepreneurship has been one of my greatest spiritual initiations, and it’s devotion that helped me move through the doubt and forge a path in the forest that didn’t exist before.

Imagination is my eternal business partner, my creative workshop where I create what wasn’t there before. It has allowed me to see beyond the bounds of any box I placed myself in and create my success ahead of time. My brand is a living, breathing story, and using fantasy, archetypes, and aesthetic to shape that world is what keeps my work both exciting and impactful. Imagination is my sacred fuel, and the magick key bringing the vision to life. It’s how I stay inspired and keep others enchanted, too. It’s how I manifest my life. “Whatever you can imagine, you can have!”

And on a more practical note—skill-building itself has been essential. There’s the less glamorous side of the journey: learning systems, understanding the business backend, and creating a strong foundation your work can both grow from and land in. I’ve failed and pivoted more times than I can count—but every “flop,” quiet season, or unexpected twist became part of the alchemy and invitation to keep learning and growing. I’ve learned to stay open, to experiment, to get mentorship, to try again. This path isn’t linear—it’s a spiral—and each turn has deepened my trust in myself and the unfolding. Part of that has meant showing up every single day on social media—riding the wave of trends, starting my own, and letting my intuitive timing guide when and how I share. That consistency, paired with energetic alignment, is what’s helped me grow a brand that feels both expansive and sustainable.

If you’re just beginning, my advice is this:

Let your devotion be the fire that fuels you. It’s deeper than discipline. It’s living your life like a myth, a ceremony. You and your art or business are sacred and deserve your commitment and showing up for daily.

Allow your imagination run wild. You truly are the creator of your reality! Everything we see in the physical world was once in someone’s mind — so dream big, and then dream bigger. Access this part of yourself in meditation; visualize your success as if it’s already here. Keep yourself inspired by doing things that bring you joy.

Here’s a key one: let failure be your forge. Every misstep, every quiet launch, every moment of doubt—it’s all refining you. Nothing is wasted. The hero’s path isn’t meant to be perfect, it’s meant to transform you. And always, always be a student. Stay curious. Learn the craft and the structure. The soul work and the strategy. Build your castle, brick by brick, while staying open to the enchantment that moves through it all.

This path asks everything of you—and gives you everything in return. Keep going. Your legend is unfolding!

How can folks who want to work with you connect?

Yes! I’m always open to collaborating with kindred spirits—especially those who are lit up by storytelling, transformation, and crafting experiences that feel like stepping into another world and making the mundane more magical.

I’d love to partner with fellow artists, creators, spiritual mentors, retreat and event hosts, and magical entrepreneurs who are weaving embodiment and enchantment into their work. Whether it’s co-creating immersive offerings, podcast guesting, commissions of my fantasy chainmail or styled shoots, or simply bringing more beauty and meaning to the online (or offline) realm—I’m here for it.

If that sounds like you, feel free to reach out! You can connect with me on Instagram @yourherosquest or shoot me an email at [email protected]!
